Why do people care that she bought a 'knock off' product rather than the original one? Does it work differently?
Because if you made a company around a product and someone else made a ripoff that got bought over your product, you'd think it was wrong too.
Nobody is pissed at her for buying an off-brand product, people are mad that off-brand products are getting bought and cutting into the revenue of the actual inventors of the device.

Sailor Mars I hate it when not buying the most popular mainstream product means your buying a knock off product! I really don't think there's a quality difference so don't act like there is!
The problem is independent artists.
I personally don't think there's an issue with buying knock offs for a big wealthy company, but when it's a little indie guy with a great idea... not so much.
Same with fanmade content. The creator of Undertale (a game I haven't played) asked his fans to please not buy fanmade merch because his official merch is the way he makes a living. It's one guy. Or a few people trying to make money off their ideas.
It's not fair to buy items off a fan when the original creator needs your revenue to pay the bills.
But if it's something like Dragon Age, you bet I'm gonna buy fanmade stuff because it's not hurting Bioware to do so.
Certainly not FastASMR's fault. Not saying she's a bad person. It's just something to be aware of.
ALSO knock-off products sometimes have way less quality control, can be less fit-for-purpose and sometimes dangerous. There have been stories about knock-off plushies having needles in them from the factory.
I have a knock-off Flaaffy pokemon plushie. She's gorgeous and I don't mind that she's a knock-off. But pokemon is a huge monolithe and I am not hurting them by not buying official merch, especially since I buy official stuff too.
Again...full blast ready for the video, then a ad comes up like "*TIRED OF DRY SKIN? TRY OUT NEW FREAKING SKIN CREAM,WHILE WE POP YOUR EAR DRUMS*"
This should've become popular instead of fidget spinners. At least itwould be much more useful as it applies to more people.

I love this video... and I feel bad for her with all these people giving her shit about "Raffy did it first!". First of all, no he didn't. Second of all, she does give "credit" in the video, even though she shouldn't have to. I don't see ASMR artists giving credit to Dani for chocolate tapping videos or going out of their way to say "Because I'm making tapping sounds on my Tascam, I have to credit Blossom!". Chill out and just enjoy the damned video.

It matters because a) designers deserve to have their work recognised; b) it affects the livelihood of not just Antsy Labs, but everyone who makes their living from creative endeavours (such as the creator of this channel); and c) because they don't work the same due to discrepancies in quality.

Been thinking about getting one of these for a very long time. I have anxiety that can be bad sometimes, and I've found that fidgeting really helps me. Usually I carry around a piece of string to fidget with, but I lost it 😭

Hex Nah, this ones fake. The official ones AntsyLabs released have a completely different packaging. It's a clear box and has the cube in the middle like it's in a pedestal. The cubr FastASMR used is just a really good knockoff.

Whispering is a part of amsr, some people do videos of just whispering. MassageAsmr does no talking versions of most of his videos, maybe he'd be a better choice for you.
