wait im lost why are you guys losing the ranch?
When large tracts of natural land are sold it always causes me to wonder how long it will be before the bulldozers arrive. I know it's not possible to stand in the way of growth but, for those of us that love the land the way God created it there is always a sad moment, or three, when those hammocks become yards. I cherish the memories of the Thanksgiving and Christmas squirrel hunts my dad and I had together on land that became an upscale waterfront subdivision many years ago in another part of Fla. Thanks for sharing your adventure!!!!

Me and my sons love this channel. From London we don’t get to see or enjoy these types of things. We live vicariously through “Deer Meat”. (One day we’ll go hunting in America). The initial claim of “last season”, kind of passed over us. But it popped up again & again. We rewound to the beginning. We’re gutted. For ourselves, but even more for the Errington family. The time, energy and love poured into that place is tangible.
The world can be a fickle and unjust place. BUT. There is one thing I guarantee Rob, his beautiful family and friends will be back. Stronger, better and more determined than before before.

The ranch was sold. I’ve never owned the ranch. I had a lease on it… the people I was leasing it from, sold it.

You are right that it is about POV. You must live in the country. I grew up in Maine, and started going out hunting with my dad, and his buddies when I was 6. I got my first fish hook stuck in my head at age 8 Lol. My older brother was casting overhead and I wanted to be like him, so I tried, and ended up with a treble hook in my head. I flipped my first snowmobile at 10. I fell off my first chair lift at 12. I got my first BB gun at a young age, and got my first gun not too long after. So you were spot on about me being from the country. It was basically a way of life in Maine to hunt, fish, ski, snowboard, snowmobile, and hike. I guess I didn't think about the fact that people in the city are so disconnected from the earth and all the earth's beautiful stuff. Too busy arguing on Twitter. Lol.

I’m glad you put the hard part of a hunt in there. Hunting isn’t always just all fun and good times. Hunting and get hard and frustrating really fast and easy. The most important thing is to keep a good attitude and keep hammering and good things will happen. Thanks for sharing the tough time of your hunt.

DMFD. I know your pain. When my children were coming up We sold a farm We had about 200 acres. Not giant but We had everything there. A 5 acre bass n catfish pond. Plenty of woods n pasture. Had to pay for private school so we had to let it go. It now looks like a bomb went off behind pasture. They clear it it n didn’t clean it up. Such a shame.
Bittersweet to see it come to an end at the ranch but where one door closes another one will open even better. God has blessed each of you and will do it again 10 foils over. Head up. Looking forward to many new and more adventurous videos. Bless y'all

@@daphnelattimer9952 they aren’t the owners of the ranch, they’re leasing it. The owner sold the property and Robert said they wont be able to lease it from the new owners.

I've been watching your videos for some time now. You and your family do a he-- of a job. What happened to your land? Lease expire? If your interested in more land, check your local real estate tax list. I'm in AR. In rural areas you can pick up vacant land pretty cheap. My uncle, before he died he picked up 480 acres in northern AR for less than $2500. Just a thought. Keep up

Anyone would be kind enough to summarize for me? I'm the fan of his content, and love to watch his cooking vids. I have not been active on TH-cam last few months due to work.

Bro I feel your pain. Lost my lease of 20yrs two yrs ago due to ranch saling. Been pounding hard to find another ever sence. Week got notice two weeks before season started to remove 20 yrs worth of stands/ blinds walk in cooler the works. For plots were planting everything. Was there when originally owner passed, then second gen passed then the grandkids saw dollar signs. It happens. I will keep fingers crossed for you. Make sure you get ya some cabbage to go!!!

I would love to spend the day with you and I always have something to do. I am a COUNTRY BOY. I have places to hunt and honey holes to freshwater fish. As soon as my farm s up and running, the Harrington's are welcome to come fishing and/or hunting there anytime. It does mean you'll all have to come back for another visit to South Africa though. Going to miss that Ranch, it's been an inspiration!

I miss hunting gobblers. Ozark and Douglas county Missouri had very good turkey hunting. Predators have ruined nesting now for years and MDC refuses to restock. I quit buying tags.
Hopefully Sarah can look back at this later and laugh! I can't begin to tell you how many times I've been hunting and for whatever reason my scope was off or fogged up due to raining or the cap on my muzzleloader didn't go off or my arrow hit a limb I didn't see on the buck of a lifetime! I'm sure everyone has a story. If you hunt and fished long enough something can sometimes not go how you planned.
Definitely going to miss the ranch videos, and emotions we're probably pretty high that day. Can't imagine having to give up something you've put so much work into, definitely not an easy thing to do.
