thanks a lot
it is not pot. it is adjustable thermostat. its bimetallic plate bends and trips off the contacts. which only works as ON/OFF contacts

yes. there are still many screws remaining in the handle
if screws are remaining on table then we need to assemble and reassemble it many times to find the empty places
after that may be we will need to purchase a new one, because after 3-4 tries the screw holes will become free 😂😜
