The issue is with the audience for obviously failing to realize what was being promised by CoD. If they explicitly said "We are going to give you Verdansk 1980" Why would people ask for a new map?
What they did is actually within the scope of what was offered.

@@wtotheo summit, standoff , factory, salt mine , under construction stadium , grid radar array, under construction downtown buildings, these are so many changes that makes verdansk feel new, and I love it because unlike many crybabies that exist online, I appreciate this map, and I can’t wait to play it 😍

@@LJP03 They no longer give you the option to select the quality you want. You know how you used to be able to hit the quality button and the dropdown menu would come up with all the options? No longer unfortunately. Now it just says select higher quality or something and it "applies" to the current video

It is technically a new map and because of the fact that they said specifically VERDANSK 1980 they simply needed to make obvious changes. It is the players who misunderstood what they were talking about.

28:58 it is not a normal radar that is a Duga radar which was use by soviet to spot enemy nuke as an early warning . It was capable to spot a enemy nuke over the horizon.

I mean the map changes aren´t exactly overwhelming but the previous season just set the bar so low with it´s utterly op meta that I´m just happy to be able to play with a variety of loadouts without having a disadvantage that is impossible to compensate for...
I’m still getting ripped up by the m16 but overall it’s much better than it was.
@@MrEL91N yeah it´s still really good, it should have also gotten more burst delay and recoil like the aug... but it´s at least possible to counter it now... I mean we have so many viable ARs now I´m actually having fun playing instead of just playing merely out of lockdown boredom
totally dissapointed.. such hype with the zombies and all the hidden messages. I thought it will be a whole new area and some changes with certain areas, for instance boneyard had less planes and more buildings, downtown less buildings(buildings in construction) etc etc

@@mirabile1221 If they'd dropped the nuke over by damn then it would have destroyed Verdansk but with enough shells of buildings and structure to make it viable. It'd basically be a BR game in any post-apocalyptic film (eg The Terminator). Plus a change of terrain for half the map. Hell they could set up a revealed military underground system for a large part of the map over by damn where the bomb dropped (with an entrance in the bunker or that large buidling to can climb up to or drop onto but can't enter). Have the damn burst and much of farmland now covered in water. Introduce water vehicles for that area. Set it just after the milirary are taking back Verdank to include mobile tents, pre-fab buildings, a make shift airstripe.... include dust storms. Use a night day cycle.
That's literally off the top on my head. They could have done SO much more. This, what they've done, is just straight up lazy.

It’s funny hearing them complain about how some of the vehicles haven’t changed, but essentially all the concrete ones they criticized still fit the time frame lol. Jack said that the air strike should’ve been changed to something like a blackbird (it’s a reconnaissance aircraft, not an attack plane) but the A-10 has been around since 1977. They also talked about how the helicopter should’ve been changed to a Mig but the Little Bird has been around since the 1960s haha.
Yet, no one says anything about how the MW are still in the game. Some of which did not exist in the 80's. M4, M13, vector, etc.

I think what they've done to have this as a free game with millions of daily players is awesome.
The map is big enough for at least 150 players to run around and play tactically.
It's had It's problems, but I'd say it's easily the best FPS that you can just jump into without paying anything.
It's the adult version of Fortnite or PUBG imo.
Such a multi faceted game.

The new factory part of the map reminds me of operation firestorm. The Bf4 version bc of lighting but some shots it looks similar form the ground

This is for everyone that needs to know the backstory of this is that it’s more a less a flash back to verdansk 84 and probably will have a new map when infinity ward develops modern warfare 2 so this is like we’re going back in time but when we fast forward to a destroyed verdansk
I am happy with the new map, but a new map would have been awesome. At the same time, there is a news that this map is dynamic, it changes with the time being like the wheather changes according to IRL time.
Verdansk is based on Danesk, back in the 80's it had a stadium just like that and then in the 2000's the rebuild it to the stadium that used to be in Warzone.

Wow new skins for buildings and different lighting!
If you have trouble joining, then you invite them from outside of the game (Xbox do it through Live, Discord through Discord invite) etc. Quite often then helps the person skip the mess and join straight to you
This map, for some reason, just feels better. In the end I predict people will prefer this version of Verdansk.
I predict they won't as there is no cover any where the second a sniper sees you ur dead
