Sometimes it's interesting and fun to talk about parallel universes (there're still the 'half-face' and 'soul mates' myths, that many Spencer fans believe), but being stuck with those things only brings sadness and frustration. Spencer needed psychological help from the beginning of the serie and spent 15 years using autism and trauma that should have been treated, as a justification for his confusions and bad luck. His problems and traumas grew and accumulated over the serie course like snowball and his friends didn't encourage him much to seek a psychologist. A guy who was a 'genius' and trained in psychology should be more aware that he needed specialized psychotherapy. All this accumulated confusion from Spencer was a disservice to the serie and a lack of critical awareness from fans who didn't demand a plot with more depth and responsibility. Worse and more serious, Spencer's problematic situations due his traumas have become something 'sexy and irresistible charm'.
Everyone needs a Spencer in their like becoz what the character stands for is resilience and purity which is found only in children and innocents... What makes him endearing is not his pain or all the sadness he had in his life... It is his ability to still care and be gentle to the people around him and love them that makes him unique... He has taken in the pain and used it to understand the pain of others rather than to hurt others for his suffering
