You can absolutely flip the panels around and have the bench seat facing out the back of the van. One of our past clients has it arranged that way all the time!
The most excellent camper conversion and detailed view I have seen on the net. Fantastic planning and craftsmanship went into this! Exciting and thank you!
The word "Conversion" caught my eye. I currently own a 2001 Ford E150 (330 CID) conversion van that just reached 200,000 miles this month. She doesn't link oil or trans fluid on the driveway. However, parts are extremely hard to source since the Company went out of business back in 2010. Shame there isn't a company that will pimp my ride (refresh). Sir, you have two versions of the "Camper Conversion" videos. I like the bed arrangement of this one over your most recent one-two-passenger seats. Where I reside has an HOA so this van would have to be built in such a way it doesn't indicate "RV". The placement of your shore power connection under the van gets two thumbs up! Yet I require 30 amps since I mainly hook up at 30 amps places. My wife and I are in our 60s and don't boondock for medical reasons.
Finally!!!! Somebody who actually knows wat they're talking about. No giggling when a new feature is mentioned. We need facts, not a comedian! Thank you so much! But, there is something missing? If you are going to entertain a spend like this then go the full hog & install a self levelling system. If you're going off road you will need this system otherwise you'll fall outa bed. 😂🤣😂🤣
Clean, elegant, functional, accessible ..... this is the kind of conversion that really works for me and makes the Transit look so good, love the bunk windows ! Just add an AC and send one to FL :-)
What a stunning van. Great tour as well. Very succinct and informative. It looks like a great combo of utilitarian and homey too. Seriously inspired for my current build. Thanks for sharing
My type of build. I'm putting together a build for dirt bikes/moto camping. I just want bare necessities for glamping though. This gives me a lot of ideas. Thanks!
Bonjour, fourgon très bien équipé , complet , avec sa réhausse permettant plus de franchissement. De loin supérieur au mien aménagé par un accessoiriste industrielle( font vendome . ) ce fait rêver ! top.
It's nice that your charger disconnects when the alternator is no longer spinning. With start-stop, you don't want the house battery charger sucking down the chassis battery pack. From my conversion van builder, I still don't have a clear explanation as to how their system works.
Window shades are from Van Essentials. The bed has some internal support behind the wall panels. The rails are attached to the supports and the bed panels hang from the rails.
This is the new version of the Versa Bed from Van Wife Components: vanwifecomponents.com/collections/bed-system/products/bed-system?variant=42780450980012
Very cool van, also very heavy all round. Transit's a heavy van to start with too. Ok s'pose if youre mostly travelling on flat land. Otherwise woukd be expensive on the fuel uptake.
I think the interior layout looks very light compared to other builds I've seen...not a lot of furniture cluttering up the small space of a van. The Aluminess roof rack is very light, as is the rear ladder/tire holder. Also very happy to see the use of the Ruvati 15" sink...we love it.
Wow. Thanks for the tour! Do you have a tip for the people like me who really dig your idea of rewiring the factorylights from the door switches to the diy board system? Is that complicated?
We repurpose the cargo light wiring harness and run it to our fuse panel and switch. You don't have to use the harness though. Just disconnect the lights and run your own wiring circuit. It's a must do in my opinion. Thanks for the comment!
Really Really prefer the "not off the rails" approach to your builds. I am looking for one to build out and do not want to go over board. I need enough comfort and features to get me out 4 days tops. I dont need every bell and whistle. You know the saying "just because I can, doesnt mean I should". Nice work bro!!
What do you think the max solar you could fit on the roof rack with the rear placement of the fan as it is on this van, assuming you didn’t install a platform?
Did you need to trim the wheel wells for the tires? How much lift did the Van Compass add to ground clearance, and what is the final clearance? Good looking rig!
No trimming necessary for those size tires. They will actually fit without trimming even without the VC Lift Kit. Any bigger and you will have to do some trimming. I actually haven’t checked on the final clearance. I did also add the VC Shock Relocation Brackets which raised the shock mounts about 1.5” Those were the lowest part on the van, now it’s the rear diff. I’ll try to remember to measure tomorrow. Thanks for the comment.
Yep! We painted them ourselves. We took each wheel/tire off the van for painting, but kept the tire mounted on the wheel while we did it. Made a huge difference in how the van looked!
Very nice. I really like the simplicity and robustness of the build out. I have a question about that bed system. Is it possible for two to sleep North/South?
Thanks for the comment. We bring a Wrappon Green toilet when we head out. We don’t keep it in the van all the time. Permanent toilet is an easy option though. This is outside shower only in this van
The wheels are the stock aluminum wheels from Ford. I used some Rustoleum Wheel Paint to get them black. The tires are Falken Wildpeak AT3’s. Not many choices for wheels out there for the AWD. The Ultra’s look good in person.
Like everyone said, wonderful video. One question. Do you have experience in doing the bed as a sort of flip out option. It would fold onto itself in half against one of the walls so that it allows a walk way when not in bed mode? This is what I have been playing with in my concept design ideas
Awesome build!!!! BUTTTTT where R U going to put a potty? I am a design inventor and I have solved this problem for EVERY car truck van RV! No joke it’s totally hidden! Very useable! And can be used as a safety factor! I am in the process of now building one and waiting for my patent pending! It’s what I do! I look for problems and change it! Especially for small spaces as well as large expensive spaces. Just sayin 🤷♀️
I think the build is quite unique from most of the Sprinter builds out there, but I appreciate your comment. The knife has absolutely nothing to do with America. It's just a super handy tool for so many applications.
Clearly you have no clue. This is a very unique build, better quality and much cheaper than the big boys. Figure under 60 for the van and about 50 to 60 for the build. Anything comparable from Thor, Jayco or any of the big manufactures would be 160 and poor quality compared to this build. I love what this company is doing!
This is one of the best builds I've seen 😮
Your bed system is innovative. If you could assemble the bed into a bench that faces rearward, you might blow minds.
You can absolutely flip the panels around and have the bench seat facing out the back of the van. One of our past clients has it arranged that way all the time!
The most excellent camper conversion and detailed view I have seen on the net. Fantastic planning and craftsmanship went into this! Exciting and thank you!
Thank you for your kind comment!
Fantastic layout with the bench seat. I can attest these guys are amazing at getting everything fitted and finished perfectly. Great job with the van.
Thank you!!

Thanks, on behalf of Aluminess, for including us on your awesome build!!
Thank you Diane! We appreciate it!
That may be one of the most down-to-earth builds I've seen. Nice job! Really nice job!
Thank you!!
So dope Brendan! Love this build so much. Adding a bunch of things to my build list after watching this!
Sweet! Let’s get them done!

This guy’s sensibilities are quite close to mine when it comes to van design. Much simpler than many.
Really like the heating system pulling from the gas tank. Also the dolor panels are a must. Well done.
Awesome, thank you!
@@gonemobilevans I noticed a fuel container inside the van? Are you pulling fuel from the vehicle gas tank for the heater?
This van is "SUPER". As he so eloquently States a 100 times.
We’re super thankful for your comment! Thanks for watching!

Mora on the wall is a nice touch!
Looks absolutely sick 👍🏻

Simple yet elegant build , systems and features. Nice. Really nice.

Thanks for the comment. I’m sure your builder has similar safeguards in place. Hope you enjoy your van!
Nice work on your builds!
Thanks Guys! Hope you’re doing well!
So awesome!
Cool, Whats the price range on a Transit high roof with all the bells and whistles?
I’d say $125-$150K
Brilliant build hows the bed held in place and where did you get the window blinds from
Window shades are from Van Essentials.
The bed has some internal support behind the wall panels. The rails are attached to the supports and the bed panels hang from the rails.
I really LOVE It😍. I really need to know how much cost this cause it's my top 3 van to buy un the future. Thanks
didn't hear a price so far, either.
Selling my 2017 4x4 Chevy express 3500 extended passenger van only 11K miles
Sweet van but no inside shower?
No inside shower. In my opinion, an indoor shower takes up too much space in this size van.
Just really good!
Nice layout Brendan. Can you tell me if the tires are quiet. The tread looks mild enough but want to hear a recommendation. Thanks, Mike
The tires are great. Not loud at all. Good on road and off. I recommend them.
I can’t find that bed layout. Can you post the link in the comments please . Thank you. Sweet rig.

Beautiful build... If you don't mind me asking where did you buy the versa bed or did you build that as well?
The Versa Bed comes from Van Wife Components. I think they are out of stock currently, but hoping to be back in stock soon.

整体感强,内装优秀
Great van
Wish you could buy this in the uk
At least you can buy the front grille in the UK. That’s where we got it!
Looks like you removed the side curtain airbags?
No airbag removal. This was a cargo van, so no airbags in the back at all.
who makes the roof rack its nice
The roof rack is from Aluminess Products. It’s their Touring Loop rack.
@@gonemobilevans sweet thanks. how much was the ford raptor grill?..and u said its from the UK how hard was it to install?

Walmart parking lots are scary! LOL
How much is total cost brother beautiful
Very nice. I really like the simplicity and robustness of the build out. I have a question about that bed system. Is it possible for two to sleep North/South?
I’m 6’3 and can easily sleep length wise on this bed. With our internal flares I can almost fit sideways.
@@gonemobilevans That sounds great! As a stomach sleeper I need 76 inches to sleep comfortably. Thanks for your response!
Awesome Van Looks Mint!
You wouldn't happen to have a link for the Raptor Grill?
I found the grille on eBay UK. I’ll see if I can find a link.
Did I miss where the toilet is? Guess it is outdoor shower only.

Preciosa van
No mention of bathroom ?
We travel with a Wrappon Green toilet on road trips. It's just not built in.
Joli !
This will be great when interest rates go so high that I have to live in a van down by the river!

very nice looking van you have there 👍
Thank you!
Do you have a link for the water tank and water heater?
The water tank is from NWconversions.com
They have a bunch of sizes. Amazon for the water heater.
Nice
Very very Nice!
Thanks so much!
Cost of build? 100k+?
Very practical set up love it! What mattress pad are you using? Thanks
We use a 5” memory foam king size mattress that we cut down to size.
👌👍
Question, is this for sale, and if so, how much ?
I guess it could be for sale… contact us through our website.
Wow!
Night build.Where do you go to the restroom? Lol.
We bring a Wrappon Green portable toilet with us on trips. We don't keep it in the van at all times.
Is this L2 or L3 long please?
This is the regular length 148” wheel base. Not the extended.

I’ve seen a few different ways of accomplishing what you mention, but we haven’t made one yet. We might take a look at that this year.
Do you need the dual battery option on the transit with the goal zero setup?
It’s a “nice to have” item, not a “need to have” for connecting to the Yeti. That being said, more power the better most of the time.
Am going to be do a van build but am stressed just trying to find a van with everything I need for the right price 😬🤣

What’s the interior height and width?
How much was the yawning
Awnings are between $1000-$1250.

I don't see any storage for clothes. maybe one T-shirt is enough for him.
We use hanging duffle bags for our clothes. They are typically only in the van when we are road tripping.
