The engine itself is quite quiet but the humming noise from its supplementary parts can be noisy enough you can hear it even when seated at the front of the vehicle ! Especially when coming to a halt & brake applied to keep the vehicle stationary. This spoils the otherwise overall quiet nature of the vehicle so all noises considered, i won't consider this vehicle quieter than the rest. The other thing i observe is these new generation MAN bus-chassi (from those i've been on in Singapore & Malaysia) have more uncomfortable suspensions, contrast to the earlier MAN's which offers far more comfortable rides ! The ride quality is on the hard & rocky side, not very different from the new generation Scanias like the K230UB etc. which were never impressive all the while especially in this area. I understand MAN & Scania are owned by the same company, VW group ?? so does that mean they now begin to share more commonality in the suspension ?
