First off video quality!!💯and you’re looking good!! Solid advice! Thank you for your content always!
1. Being too dependent on credit
2. Not building wealth in the UK
3. Not having an emergency fund
4. Not having passive income strategy
5. Not investing
6. Not planning for retirement
7. Lack of financial planning
8. Black tax
great advice, the only concern i have with side hustle e.g. youtube , selling, etc is the visa restrictions on it for skilled worker visa, thats why the passive income and high yield one you mentioned seems like the safest bet for now

Pls make the side hustle. And pls what site did you use to get your job, I'm in Manchester
I agree, the majority of us send money home. We tend to prioritise others at home.
Unfortunately, a lot of us end up in jobs that we are over qualified for for too long, which then limits the income we have available to build wealth.
Make a video on cash ASH PLEASE
Nice topic. Do you mind making a video on interest-free investments?
Oh not sure about that 🤔 coz if you don’t earn interest, will it still be an investment ? How will it make money
Please also tell us how to open the normal ISA cash account ..
Migrants? Or expatriates.
Hi Chidera, thanks for the video. With Cash ISA in this case Plum, can one take their money out at anytime or is there a caveat of how long the money must have been before one can withdraw all like fixed deposits.
Hi 👋🏾 yes you can take your money out at anytime. That’s the great thing about a cash ISA
Hi Childera, I live in the Jersey Channel island, sadly most of these high yield savings accounts you mention are not available here, do you know of any that can help or how to navigate the accounts so it works for us here in the CI?
Oh I’m not very familiar with what’s obtainable there, so sorry
❤
Pension consolidation works better if you are just starting. If you try to move all your pension into one pot, it will cost up to 25% of the total in each pot in fees.
Not worth it.
Hi Chidera. Is the Plum account a fixed deposit account? It seems most are fixed accounts and cannot be used when needed until a certain period.
Nope it isn’t fixed account. It’s easy access so you can withdraw when you want. It’ll reflect on or before the next working day depending on the time of day when you initiate the withdrawal
@ChideraPeters ok. Thanks for your reply. I'm interested but will have to wait before opening it, else credit score will drop.

When did we start calling ourselves “black Africans”?😅
lol I dunno, just quoting it as it is in the report. I guess they said it that way because there are “white Africans” 😂🤣 I dunno o
When you migrate to the UK from Nigeria for instance, you have two homes. So just imagine trying to maintain these two homes. You yourself had made a video in the past talking about “black tax” is a phrase I don’t like using, but here you are contradicting yourself again. Research shows that on average, Nigerias in the diapora remit about 17.21 billion-this is 2020 data. Also don’t forget that you are talking about African immigrants. This video i don’t think is meant for black British citizens. On Average, blacks are hard working, and just a matter of time, you will make a video in contrast to this. I know Nigerians who came to the UK, and within the space of 3 years, they moved their siblings as well. These are monies that could be invested in mortgage or so on. See, blacks are strategic. Just a matter of time
lol what exactly did I say and what are you saying? Did I say we aren’t strategic or don’t work hard? The whole point of this video is that we work hard but we can set up some things to ensure we get the most returns from our hard work.
We need to remember several Black African give a lot of remittance back home. They are also more likely to invest in Africa in the UK. One thing that these stats do not factor in enough, is the start is different. Black African are more likely to work low income jobs compare to others. People tend to opt for low income jobs as they are easier to get. However, I know in the next 7- 15 years these stats will change drastically because people are waking up. Knowledge is power, many Africans in the West do not readily access the correct information. But when they do, they thrive more than some of the natives.
I agree 🙌🏽
