    Definitely should be mentioning that these repairs are only temporary, as the patchwork has a higher tendency to pop out or quickly degrade due to the permanent linear change that occurs on dryout.

      it is right, the refractory repair is only temporary, by interface join with old refractory is poor , and not has anchor , is cosmetic only

      refractory cement or Soudal Firecement sealant.

      This is a patching material, such as a refractory plastic. Choose the plastic that best matches the existing refractory, i.e. 70% alumina, 55% alumina, SiC containing, etc.
      Castables / Monolithics are also usable, but less cooperative. The same applies, however. Match what the existing refractory is made of.
