  • 🔵 Title: On Parole: Prisoners of Freedom
🔵 Summary: Track the elite parole officers of New York’s ‘Special Offenders Unit’ as they keep tabs on their charges - some of the most dangerous parolees in America.
“On Parole: Prisoners of Freedom” takes a high-energy look at New York City's elite Special Offender Unit, which handles the toughest cases and repeat offenders. No longer just a check-in system, parole has become a high-stakes game of cat-and-mouse where stalking and spying are part of the daily grind. Parole is not a privilege for the rehabilitated, but a reaction to prison overcrowding and a failed court system. For the Special Offender Unit, a good day at the office is a bad parolee back behind bars.
Starring: Manny Clemente, David Segal, Cindy Morro, Corey Burke, Catherine McIver, Darren Ferguson, Joni Johnson
Executive Producer: Steven Rosenbaum, Pamela Yoder, Deborah Wasser
    Editor: John Nealon

Impossible to say that. Theft is sure anti social, but I doubt most thieves stole out of anger and resentment.
Without knowing the individual motives behind the crime, it's impossible to say if it was anti socially motivated. All crime has an antisocial angle as it goes against 'law and order', but that doesn't mean that was the intent or even how they went about it.

The punishment should be the same as murder because after they tramautize and assault their victims they essential have murdered their innocence. Those people will never be the same again. It’s gonna sound dumb, but it’s best not to judge criminals even the lifetime offenders. Doesn’t mean you have to accept criminality or the culture around it but it widens the divide between citizens and criminals when you stop trying to understand I’ve met a lot of people with ankle monitors and felony records who are hard-working people who make really bad decisions. You have to leave it up to God to look after everyone you can’t wish death on people he comes back on you in the form of cancer from stress peace to all.

Here in my area probation likes to play the snitch game. I got put in jail for a technical violation. I had an empty bottle of liquor that seriously wasnt mine in the freezer. I was living with my girlfriend and that bottle had been there years before i moved in. Didnt matter. Im in the pod first week and a couple dudes came in who uad the same PO I had at the time, we were all on probation not parole and they came in on dirty UAs. Both for meth. They came in on the same day and both of them got out 5 days later and never went to court. Turns out the got them to drop names on another case and they got a release. For an empty liquor bottle someone way before my time in the house left in the freezer I did 60 days. What kind of message does that send? That's not right at all. Im sure whoever they snitched on ended up on probation too. Thats how it's done around here.
