I love free vst hunting! Theres so so many free vst out there why buy any these days.Theres a lot free vst that can sound beter than payed ones not just you can turn most crappy free thin sounding vst into a very complex synth sound by mastering tools and effects or just layer two of same synths into on sound.that can give more complex synth sound by crappy thin sounding synths.I think it makes more fun to find a crappy vst and see how better and fat you can make it.
I love free vst hunting too :-). For over 10 years I have been looking for interesting vst synthesizers. I used to collect hardware synth, but I have little rooms in my home. You're absolutely right. The multiple layers of sound create a great effect. Sometimes it's enough to add a good vst fx (echo, chorus, flanger, reverb etc.) to the ugly synth sound makes a miracle: -). Now I'm testing vst utilities in my own music productions, including Spectrum by Ben/Schultz. This is a free spectrum analyser and visualizer that handles up to four audio channels. It's very useful. Full Bucket Music synthesizers I know and I have tested th-cam.com/video/nf2u0CERxD0/w-d-xo.html and th-cam.com/video/cgKqobkRvrY/w-d-xo.html . These are very good synthesizers vst. I start to prepare youtube video "Best freee vst synth 2018" and I'm sure there will be a lot of new, interesting synthesizers. Second place Synth1 is in your opinion bad or good? I think it's vintage app, but still very, very inspiring and interesting vst synth. Thank you for your comment.

Yesterday I encouraged the musicians from Facebook to test the Arminator synthesizer. They are fans of old synthesizers. They were impressed by the this synth sounds. Thank you very much, I will soon sit by the computer and prepare top 10.

Well none of these synths are published in 2017. But nice list and good to know whether they are still available or not! :) I think they are mostly from 2012 and 2013, except for the Helm that is from 2016. And I remember the podolski synth from more than ten years ago (2005 /6) when I was buying music magazines with free plugins on a regular basis. Although I like the fact that they put it on 64 bit and maintenance the plugin. That was actually around 2012, as far as I know.
Yes, this is a list of the best synthesizers from the ten-year period. Summary of my searches. They are still available in 2017. It was not supposed to be a TH-cam movie about the best vst released in 2017. We will be able to return to this "Best of vst 2017" and remind the classic synthesizers. Some people don't t know these synthesizers. Soon I will release "The Best VST synth 2018". It will be a change, much more new vst synth from 2017.
I barely remember any new VST instruments that came out in 2017 and are free maybe except for the KORG repro fb-3300, so am looking forward to this clip. one of my fav classics is also the ppg wave from Hermann Seib! but the waldorf PPG Wave 2.V comes "free" with some midi keyboards aswell.
New and really, really good 10 synthesizers from 2017 did not actually release. However, there are many of them. I wonder what to put in the clip, because I don't want to give no good vst. I will think about that. You are right - fb 3300 will be: -). What's interesting, until recently free synthesizers often only worked for 32-bit operating systems. Now part of the new vst synth is only 64 bit.
I recommend to use a 64 bit OS and you can still decide to install 32 bit plugins and software aswell, but you can't get 64 bit stuff to work on a 32 bit OS I guess. So you can still make classic vst1 plugins to run, for example in reaper or fl studio who still bridge plugins automatically. I was surprised when my old Samplitude 10 was running both the latest Waveshell / Waves Plugins and the old PPG at the same time, after it installed a patch. But we have a 64 bit only support like in Cubase 9 that forces programmers to deal with this. I remember for example the Zampler // RX, updated in 2016 (with new samplebanks, new gui and both 32 / 64 bit files). Or the Savihost that offers 2 separate downloads.
So far I have been working on 32-bit Reaper. I love Cockos Reaper for its ease of use and great possibilities. But I have to go to OS 64-bit. It's not difficult to change the operating system, the worst thing is to transfer all my music projects, upload new versions of vst synthesizers, etc. It takes a lot of time. I will see how it all works.

Absolutely. Ther are so many really excellent, and free-, VST synths out there now. There should be absolutely no reason whatsoever to download cracked and illegal soft VST´s. Personally, I have always been a huge fan of CM´s free software and tutorials

Ablton live is awsome on pushing one note down on a synth key to here as many vst synths all activated at once.you cant actvate muiltiple vst at once with one key note push with out a cibiner on reasion or you cant push one key down actvate all synth at once for powerful layering in fruittloops with out setting it up in complex way to here all synths sounds at once with one note pressed.ablton live is awsome for rewire ing all your daws into it.I love how I can activate all synthes in ablton pluss all synths in frutie loops and reasion by rewiring them into ablton as a master daw sounds like one synth.
All these features were created on cubase first 😂

Helm is the synth that every beginner should start with In my opinion, that synth will teach you how to sound design in days, synth1 was also great. If you are a beginner don't fill your computer up with all this garbage you will never use it, the synths that come with any daw are far better than anything in this video pick one stick with it and learn how to use it or one of the big synths spire serum ect if you can afford it, having 100s of synths and jumping back and forth from them will slow your progress drastically. Stick to one master it and apply your knowledge to the next one.
My discovery of recent years is Vital Synth. Some say it's better than Serum, and on top of that it's completely free. Most of my recent music has been created with Vital and my own sounds. Programming sounds is very easy.
