I also think many folks don't realize in California how LUCKY we are to be in a produce belt! Fresh produce can be hard to find and expensive in other states/areas.

I really love this episode. Food deserts are common in many low- income communities. I remember being a grant writer and having to justify grant dollars going towards food deserts because the definition of the grantor was different from the area I use to serve. I love the organic subscription market concept. I pray for tremendous success! Great content!

The food desert is real! I had to move to another area in my city to be able to buy fresh produce without having to drive 20 to 25 minutes away from my home. Now it only takes less than 5 minutes to obtain "live" food for my family to enjoy.

Aww love the vibesss of both of you. Fell in love with Tabitha on Goodful and love what you do to promote healthy eating for the environment and for our own health! Also, Tabitha, just wanted you to know that your energy is really what motivates me to keep going on being more plant-based everyday.

They’ve started the traveling farmers markets in the Atlanta area too. My mom is elderly and its a big deal for her. And they do take EBT like she said.

Are most food deserts in our neighborhoods? I know that they exist in the Atlanta area. I all depends on where you live in Atlanta.

Cali and Texas grow a lot of the country's fruit and veggies, Arizona is ok but it's an import state (from Mexico) Oregon and Washington grow also. Us.gov fruit could help.
