    THIS IS IT! Pops old Olds we ran into black ice on Donner Summit, right at the peak, at the precipice of the cliff, did a big old spin into the rock granite wall, turned completely around, everyone stared, stupendous experience, great old car, not even a dent. Old long trailer dived off that precipice, stood on it's nose, had we gone off we'd have landed on it.... probably would have saved us! LOL!

      I once owned one of these and can corroborate that it is indeed a 98. Grill was pretty much the same as the 88, but the 98 was a bit larger, utilizing a GM body shell that it shared with some Buicks and the 1950 Cadillac Series 61 sedan. The side chrome was quite different from the 88, and the 98 came standard with fender skirts (which are missing on this car), whereas they were optional for the 88. Same engine, but if I recollect, the heavier 98 had a higher rear axle ratio to keep it more competitive acceleration-wise with the 88, but not for economy or top speed.
