HSforBC - Who We Are

The Humane Society for Boone County, often referred to as HSforBC, operates primarily through the efforts of devoted volunteers. In 2022, our volunteers contributed over 15,000 hours, and in 2023, that number increased to over 17,000 hours. Alongside our volunteers, we rely on numerous foster homes to support the care of all the puppies and kittens that pass through our shelter.
