It's not that unrealistic- recently, my cousin's daughter got engaged, and the in-laws were helping coordinate the decoration of the party hall before we got there. My wife reaches out to our son's girlfriend's family to wish them for holidays and stuff, before they do. Yeah, we may not go around giving diamonds to the entire family, but respecting each other shouldn't be so unrealistic! I get that this os not how things were thirty years ago, but they're changing!
35 yrs ago also my 45 yrs ago also my parents and my bhabhis family were like one family , n same way my parents and my in-laws were like friends childhood friends n were there for each other . It's just the understanding n egos don't interfere with the relation .

I think when the tea is hot , it is wise to drink it out of the saucer as the tea in the saucer would be exposed to a larger surface area than the cup and evaporation increases with greater surface area thus taking the heat out of it .

Why does the girl need the boy to be okay with it and do the same to normalize it. She should have never been embarrassed about her own grandma in the first place.
