e-gmp platform is still ahead and for less than 50-60k.. for almost same range, for EV6/Ioniq/Gv60 etc. max charge is 240kwh off a 350kwh charger.. I usually average from 14-20 mins on 10-80% SoC.
I guess you buy Audi for luxury/brand name/better Nav UI and few other things.

There are a lot of new EVs out there that look nicer and are of a higher quality than Tesla. However, Tesla has one thing all the others don’t. A well built charging infrastructure that gives Tesla owners peace of mind on road trips.

Don’t forget one aspect of being high quality is the software - increasingly becoming one of the most important aspects.

True. Electrify America only works 60% of the time. Tesla Chargers 98% to 99% and trhey have thousands in the US, and is the largest charging red on the work. Tesla adds a new charging station ecery 13 hours.

I've said it before and I'll say it again, not every EV is a "Tesla rival". This Q8 is way more luxurious and "premium" than any Tesla. (even though the Model X costs way more)

Having owned a 2019 Audi Etron prestige... I must say it was an easy decision to buy the Etron over the Tesla Model Y. (I've sinced sold the Etron because range was rough)

As an owner of many Japanese and German cars. You will get aesthetic fatigue instantly with how it looks inside out, such as luxurious leather and acent lightning. However, you will never get tired of how Tesla brings to you the intuitively, technology, functions, and intelligences of what it does to help you with driver fatigue on your commute to work daily. I'm currently owner of 3 tesla for almost 3 years. It's refreshing to drive it every single time. Simplicity never gets old. Like many tesla owners had said "Legacy cars are Nokia, tesla are the apple"😂

It's a shame that Tesla quality is below par for the price. Might as well buy a Chevy Bolt for less money and maintain the same quality. It is nice that Audi, BMW, Mercedes have EV options now. The quality they bring to the table with EV reliability should increase their value to the consumer base. IF I had to get an EV to spend time in running errands, I would consider Mercedes. This is very blah in style. IMO.

For the price I feel the range is too low. Ideally cars are EPA rated at least 350-400 miles. The reason is EVs never go as far as they say, most people won't be able to charge it every night, batteries slowly lose a little capacity over time, and the range is affected by the weather a good amount. I don't even feel Teslas go far enough with range but the robust charging network helps to compensate and make it doable with very little stress when going on road trips.

  • @777Outrigger

Everybody's bumping up their battery size for more range. An expensive way of extending range. Puts the company at a cost disadvantage. Tesla is working on efficiency and smaller battery packs and an excellent charging infrastructure so that they can lower prices and make their cars more affordable. ... Great car, no doubt. Audi always makes fantastic cars.

Just leased this same car Jul 2023. EA included charging is now only 250 kWh free. Also optional AC Charging package $1850, requires spare 100 A circuit and only single phase (USA) 240 v wall box I could find is $2500. So ~ $5k total with installation to reduce over night home charging from 13 hrs to 6.5 hr.

No dealer mark ups or dealer BS…..You can’t touch the value of a Tesla if you want an EV.
