Nooresh Juglall (1991-2021) - Memory Lane

Champion Jockey in 2020 and Champion Mauritian Jockey in 2019, Nooresh Juglall rode 97 winners at the Champ de Mars. He started his apprenticeship in South Africa in 2007, before he rode in his very first race in November 2009. He rode his first ever winner in March 2010, and he would go on to be Champion Apprentice Jockey in 2011-12 and 2012-13.
Nooresh Juglall also had stints in Zimbabwe, Qatar, Hong Kong and Singapore, and it was at the latter where he was very prolific, riding 217 winners, including making the Hall Of Fame by winning five races in a meeting.
