I leaned how strong the stompers were when i accidentally 1 shot phase 3 mithrix right as he spawned, and since I had some fire bands I also skipped phase 4 :D
I still remember how in the early ages of RoR 2 this was widely considered in a running for one of the worst red items it the game, merely a gimmick and nothing else. It's wild to see it now, after all we've learned about the game and how it works, be regarded as possibly the single strongest item in the entire game.
Holding X(whatever your interact key is) while in the air should start the stomp. Assume most of the movement tech isn't possible on the console version.
hate this item, one of the only items I just never take even if dropped. Yeah, sure, it's objectively strong and good. However, it forces you to play in a way you may not want to.
Cap, let's be honest, you did this video to just troll on woolie, right? 😅 (jk) but to be fair, sometimes stomper can be used well, sometimes the damage doesn't reward us, because if you face a Lv 60-90 Mithrix, that amount of damage never happens because of the damage decrease mechanic that Mithrix has, in other words, he can't be one shoted with the stompers and either can't lower his health by a lot, if he is way to high in level count.
thats not true, when mithrix gets to Lv 60-90 that means you've gone through more stage, got more items, and have an even higher chance of one shotting mtihrix. Items will always scale you more than time scales the enemies. Me and a lot of other content creators have all done and shown it happen.
@@Cap_ What he is trying to say is that the king of nothing has a secret mechanic that gives him stacks of damage reduction, and after some time of that stacks being aquired the stacks will begin to fade, it doesnt matter the dps or burst you have, if you want to oneshot mithrix, you have to do it in 1 single tick, no bands or atg, only 1 tick, as if he loses a lot of hp, the damage you will do to him after that will be pointless.
@@hairynugget2193 Ice bands proc at the same time stompers do damage do they not? It's pretty easy to chunk Mithrix with just stompers alone while having an entire arsenal of weapons to use while they're on CD
@@hairynugget2193 I dont think it really matters. I mean yes, its not a oneshot item for Mitrix BUT, its still an item that solid enought to be your only way of doing damage to mitrix. Sit in a pilar, sit in a high place and wait for the coldown to be down, and you got all the damage you need to end mitrix. You dont actually need to use any character hability, just kick his head until he is dead.

well to be fair, a lot of stuff got reworked, and reworded. and most items in ror2 are strong as hell anyway, bottom tier is still great
