There's so much information in the world, agriculture does make sense to teach though. Unfortunately most education systems push for academic roles in society (doctors, engineers, lawyers, etc., etc.,) as opposed to equally valuable and important physical labour/trade industry roles i.e., farming, or construction, plumbing, mechanics etc., which frankly many people would be interested in and better suited for, hands-on or high energy types for example, tinkerers, thinkers, all sorts.
