I'm curious... Do the coins earned from one conquest event stay valid to the next conquest or do you lose them on exiting a conquest event?

At video time 1:46 the screen in the game says, "...Conquest Cash and Mission Cash won't be lost when the Theater of Conquest ends and can be saved for subsequent Theaters of Conquest."
