  • Ford Mustang 4.6 3V GT straight piped, long-tube headers, cat-back, 2.5" diameter exhaust, with an X-pipe, Pypes Bombs mufflers, or should I say amplifiers! With a deleted rear spoiler. This period of Mustang is the best since the early 1964-1973 designs. 100% American muscle.
    How does it sound?
It sounds great, so I took it down to my local "Echo Chamber" or concrete brutalist 1960s architecture car park to find out. Here is the result, enjoy.

I purchased this car from Pennsylvania on Autotrader.com, while I was looking for a 2008/2009 Highland Green S197 Bullitt Mustang. Those Bullitts are way beyond my budget and nudging $20,000 after a sudden surge in popularity during the Covid era. The next best thing was the Redfire GT/CS with a similar spec to a Bullitt, but lots of goodies as well. Red is a better colour in my opinion.
Having a Mustang shipped from the US to the UK is quite easy, the major hassle is what happens next, when you want to register it with the DVLA, that takes 8 weeks.
Having a tough car for work is essential. Thanks to Ford the Mustang is one of those cars. With strong running gear, an asset platform able to return over 200,000 miles of hard day to day use, getting over 32mpg on the motorway (UK imperial gallons), makes it a reasonable car to run over longer distances.
two of my favourite cars that I drive on a daily basis.
    1. Hydro blue WK
Owner of a Hydro blue WK Jeep, the only known example. Hydro Blue Pearlcoat - Grand Cherokee WK 2005. A unique colour for this model, the only one as I had it resprayed. This is actually an export Jeep WH for the UK market. It doesn’t take much to make these trucks look like something really good, my one is just optimised for mild off-road use. See the website for running report and vehicle history from 2005. 131,000 recorded miles.
    2. Redfire S197 GT/CS
A classic 2007 Ford Mustang California Special S197 with 125,000 recorded miles. A clean titled USA car with no accidents. The Redfire is a V8 manual with the bullet-proof 4.6 litre 3V petrol engine and a Tremec 3650 manual 5 speed gearbox. This Ford Mustang S197 has been fitted with long tube headers, a Pypes x-pipe straight through custom dual exhaust with Pypes Bombs and a cold air intake to be fitted when I figure out who is going to tune it for me.
