You and I both have something in common.......we both adore Diana Ankudinova. What a stunning, all-round performer. She LIVES every song she sings and for her age, the emotions she expresses usually come with age and experience but our Diana knows love, passion, fear, joy and so many other emotions. I was SO impressed the first time I heard her sing 'RECHENKA', I joined one of her fan clubs. I became obsessed looking for everything I could about her and sharing everything to the club. After a few months, admin invited me to be a moderator which I was delighted to accept. I spent most days searching for her, (good job I'm retired) and sharing. Last week, admin asked me to join him as admin. I was totally thrilled. I'm so proud to help and feel so close to her, as close as I will probably get. You are a true gentleman and one of my favourite reactors, being respectful and genuine. I always look out for GreyWolf TV pop-ups. Thank you for being a really nice guy. xx

Dear friend - I will say something to put into context. I am a Brit, ex-soldier, learnt Russian in the forces and now married to a Russian. I have been to the local parades on 9th May and the overwhelming feeling I get is that the people sincerely do notwant to experience war again. The title reads, Soldier, you survived and, as always, this rendition tears at your heart.

Это были большие концерты, в них участвовало очень много артистов, но Диану- нашу народную ЗВЕЗДУ, не приглашают на такие концерты 1 и 2 центральные каналы российского телевидения!!! Очень обидно!!!

I have no idea what I am listening to, but it is so very beautiful to my ears, to my heart. I do not understand one word of the beautiful language of Russian but this music, and her voice puts tears in my eyes. It is one of the most beautiful compositions my ears have ever heard. The words necessary to fully describe Diana's phenomenal voice have yet to be created. I honor and respect her for paying tribute to the millions of Russian soldiers who paid the ultimate price fighting for Mother Russia.
The arrangement of this song was made by Alexander Stepin - the person who did the arrangement of "Wicked Game". The song was probably recorded in a home Studio(but I'm not sure). Poems by Margarita Agashina, music by Vladimir Migulya. The first performer was Joseph Kobzon. Kobzon's version is more masculine, more severe. Diana had an all-female version, full of pain and crying for all the men who didn't return from the war.

I have listened it a several couples of times more with you, crying each time with every verse..and I was just thinking about your question about how can a young person of her age get it... and i remembered me at my school, reading poems of different times, when i read them - they got deeply into my heart. Some of them were about the war.. and about love too of course......, we had a marvelouse teacher of literature who sang us some songs, most of them were deep russian, I mean they came within the literature lessons. And thinking back to my youth, i think i could have understood that pain at that age too. But of course this thing Diana can potray with her voice - she is a geat talent, and i believe her feeling sere are true - not acting. And the last thing, if you know, how many young "children" went to the war that days, how may nurses came there from a school place, how many of them lost loved ones, just the girles of 17-18 old... And also very young soldiers, maybe that is why she can also get a feeling of that song, apart from the lyrics, because the lyrics in the language they were written are made as a poetry, translation is just mostely the information, sorry, it was just written to share my opinion with you!. Thank you for sharing Diana to the world. Diana is a young teenager from Russia who will make you feel things that you will not forget. I believe people that have experienced hardship or trauma in their live can sometimes channel that pain in their singing. Read Diana’s backstory about being neglected, abused and discarded by her mother to the streets at 3. Diana ended up in an orphanage and could not speak until she started to sing. She is able to bring mystery, beauty and empathy to everything she sings. Truly a one in a billion singer.

Her voice is amazing and mesmerizing, and she is talented with it. But I think what sets her apart from most other singers is that she has the capability of investing her feelings 110%, like she has become one with the song, and she conveys those feelings so accurately that you can feel the emotions and paint a picture in your mind. She's not just trying to be fancy with her style or hitting insane notes like most singers, she's transporting you through the song emotionally.
Hi. I'm from Russia and I like your reaction to Diana. It's just amazing how you feel without translation what she sings about. This is because of her talent to live and pass through the meaning of the song. This is not given to many people. Diana had a difficult childhood. Her mother was an alcoholic and even tried to maim Diana. But Diana's foster Mother became her real Mother. Little Diana was in shock and couldn't speak. Then the new family of Diana was advised to give the girl to sing. And that saved her. She has discovered a real talent(which You can feel in her songs). Good Luck
