I'm 45 and keep hitting the Spring Awakenings in Chicago. They call me a 5%er since 5% are over 35 years old or something. It gives me tons of energy and makes me happy so WTF.
Since 1996 and this is in my top 3, sets and sets like it give my entire life to this point validation. I feel a little like we got arrested, chased out of warehouses, almost died in very unsafe venues or whatever to make this possible. But it’s goes back every farther, I hope anyone from the old days who’s still in the (EDM) Rave scene is so proud of this generation of djs, producers, promoters and fans because this is amazing. I never imagined I’d be 48 in 6 days and have techno (it was all just techno or house till 1995 or so) or EDM as it were be so popular and just plain, freaking awesome. I agree. And picture quality is way better. By them cutting the crowd noise and what not makes the festival seem dead af. Ultra actually makes you get that vibe you’re at the festival

One of the rare times where Dj brought out a vocalist and was heard CLEARLY instead of the backing track over-saturating. Plus Tori Kelley is a phenomenal singer! Wow :) much to everyone that got to see this live 🖤
I like this version better than the studio version. Being able to hear her raw vibrato and the punch caused by the adrenaline of the live performance... It's the subtle "real" pieces they take out in the studio that makes it amazing.
Though I highly believe that the sound engineers in the booth enhance vocalist who are singing vs those who are rappers. They’ll bump the volume down because 10/10 they will just be screaming their lyrics.
I really think the combination of different genres makes a illenium show so damn special and a memorable show. I really wished I was there at that place, I literally had goosebumps just watching this, imagine what will happen in person.

Saw Illenium at decadence in 2019 best set of my life. Can’t wait to see him there too, its my first EDC as well. Plus im meeting someone at edc toox its gonna be life changing.

@@andrewjames5373 Location makes that limitations :( It's in the middle of huge city with skyscrapers around. Loud sound, lasers and fireworks are irritating for people around. Bayfront creates atmosphere but limitate visuals :(

My two favourite DJs are ILLENIUM and Alesso. Two different types of music and I never thought I’d see one of them play the others song. I watched it live and was in shock when he started played If I Lose Myself AND then he fucking plays CALLING. Unreal! Goosebumps! Hairs were standing up and I was smiling from ear to ear. For that reason alone; this will be my favourite set of all time.
Already one of the best, especially between those that play in big/mainstream festivals. This set is simply perfect, no mistakes in mixing, track selection, flow, etcetc Insane!
I absolutely love how illenium puts on an amazing production. I remember when he would play drums and things live on those digital drums and this is still amazing❤

Crazy to think I first discovered him at Lollapalooza in 2016 at my first music festival with him playing for a small crowd at Perry's to now headlining at Ultra!! Truly an inspiration to so many people.

I like this version better than the studio version. Being able to hear her raw vibrato and the punch caused by the adrenaline of the live performance... It's the subtle "real" pieces they take out in the studio that makes it amazing.
Though I highly believe that the sound engineers in the booth enhance vocalist who are singing vs those who are rappers. They’ll bump the volume down because 10/10 they will just be screaming their lyrics.

I feel like this isn’t just Illenium’s best set but also will go down in edm history for him finally giving one of the biggest music festivals a future bass representative after so many years of house artists (besides skrillex) taking over the mainstage.

Crazy to think I first discovered him at Lollapalooza in 2016 at my first music festival with him playing for a small crowd at Perry's to now headlining at Ultra!! Truly an inspiration to so many people.
I hear many say best set this and that. But I can say this is the best set, because it's deverse, emotional and blends perfect in the genres it has a bit of everything 👌❤️ this set is going to be on replay many many times!!
