@@daudipetertv Yes this is amazing thank you so much! What an incredible creature and the tension of the meeting!! When people talk about "living the dream" you good people truly are!! Thanks for being positively involved with these wonderful animals.
This was proberably one of the best elephant encounters I have seen , why ? There was no giggling , whispering , nattering tourists to antagonise the beast . The reason for the quick revs was the elephant prodded the car with its tusks , in otherwords , he was seeing it it was dead and squaring up , the car starting and a few boots of the throttle gave the driver much needed ground as the elephant went back to his turf and waited for the charge or retreat , if you know animal communication , you would see , the guide did the right thing , staying steady and calm .
Let me guess Colin, do you ‘know animal communication?’ I’ve got to break it to you, when people have these amazing encounters with animals in the wild their first thoughts aren’t to keep quiet so as to not upset Colin from TH-cam. You’re welcome.
@@daudipetertv I've learned so much about watching them up close albeit from a somewhat tame group on the HERD channel - the elephant orphanage in South Africa I'm sure you're familiar with. The resolute concentration they have is so powerful - and it's frankly amazing they feel at all peaceful towards humans given their experiences with some of the worst of us. I hope these peaceful encounters at least help them experience less of the terror in their collective memory, if that makes sense. It was awesome to behold everyone's quiet respect in the face of what might've been an unnerving encounter - even to those with experience in the reserve. Thank you for this video... and for all you're doing to protect these critically endangered animals. 🐘🌍❤️🙋
Beautiful animal. I don't think he will attach as long as he's not feeling a possible danger. He was as curious about the car as the rangers where about him.
This glorious beast knows he’s king. He gave them a tiny little tap, knowing full well he has all the ability he needs to easily kill everyone in that vehicle. I think it was very respectful of the passengers, to be quiet and let everything play out without the usual vocalization. He stood his ground until they left. I love elephants. ❤️🐘❤️ We have to do whatever we can to protect them .
Just the serenity of the surroundings and the majesty of these fine animal. What a blessing to be in its close presence. It seemed like the elephant looked them straight in the eye as if to say ..."Yes, I know....you are looking at magnificence!". No, not a shiny new sports car or a flashy new house...no, just 'pure natural majestic magnificence!".
The magnificence of this elephant 🐘 is undeniably a major statement for us……….what he decides we abide!!!We made a good decision I see👍🐘!!Breathtaking& I’m in “Awe”!! Nanny Stick Sister, USA 🇺🇸 ❤️🤍💙& my boys 🐶🐱!!
In the Kruger Park a Ranger told me years ago to turn round the car when viewing elephants. If you do need to escape you can. If the elephants are fine then turn round again and carry on. View them from the rear window
It reminds me of how whales, despite many having seen others butchered before their eyes, still let their young frolic with the occasional photographer. They aren't stupid. They have long memories, yet they seem capable of distinguishing certain vibes from others among our often dreadful specie.
makes me sick how cruel humans have been to the animals and will continue to, and when on rare occassion an animal attacks, look at what weve done to them for centuries.
I want to give the elephant a hug! I wish I were there to see such a Gentle Giant Gracefully walking the earth. The Largest Land Mammal on earth. Absolutely Beautiful.
@@rogerbee697 Yes, that's correct. 💯 The largest Marine mammals are Blue Whales, and the largest Land mammals are the African Savanna (Bush) Elephant. I based my comment on the largest Land mammal. Edited to clarify. No comparison between the two as far as weight goes.
ABSOLUTELY no need to start the vehicle & rev it to "scare" this magnificent beast. If he meant to harm either one of these twits, they'd be in pieces by now! Humanity really is the more ignorant of animals that walk this earth. For cryin' out loud! He scared HIMSELF when his tusk bumped the vehicle.

This is my dream, I haven't done it yet because I know it's mega expensive. Are you allowed to get out and stroll around a little bit? How much did you pay for the Safari tour?
The prices are all different but if anyone goes, I'd urge them to look up how the reserve works for conservation awareness. The fact is that tourists create as much safety for the critically endangered species in Africa as laws do. It's a cooperative effort. And I hope you get to go. What an extraordinary event in one's life! 🐘🌍❤️🙋

I totally agree. So good to watch such a video without narration OR music.
Bull Elephant, channeling his inner Gandalf, “you shall not pass!”.

Unless it realise that you are going to harm it.
