More money is great, but only fair as audiences increase and the skill level increases. It's hard to talk about what footballers 'deserve'... presumably the only logical comparison is male footballers and few would argue they 'deserve' their pay. But that does not for a second mean the women should be held to some different standard. It does seem to me there is a wider gulf between the top women players and the 'average', compared to the men's game. I hope to see those talismanic players' salaries increase. And some women's teams are attracting much larger crowds than the 'second rate' clubs. The Europa Cup will put enormous pressure on certain players health and clubs' resources.
