Im italian and i love Evil Invaders so fckn much. They went last year in May in Milan when i didn't know them. Now with the new tour with Warbringer they won't come in my country so i probably go in Switzerland and finally my dream can be realized!
Now, I dont want to take anything away from Evil Invaders. Absolutely killer band, and I love this song so much, especially seeing their journey from the first song I heard from them, Fast Loud and Rude. That said, the chorus from this song has the same vocal cadence as The Pride by five Finger Death Punch. And this isn't to say that they stole it or whatever (all invention is reinvention), it's just interesting to see similar ideas coming from very different places. There's also something about that verse that sounds familiar...
I've thought of this song as an edgier 18 and Life or I Remember You by Skid Row, haven't heard the FFDP song (or have blocked it out of my memory) but I wouldn't be surprised if both acts were influenced by those songs, consciously or not, as they're both considered classics and are very catchy. I do love In Deepest Black as well, I think it's the best song on the new album!
Annihilator goes Savatage goes Queensrÿche, and I ain't talking about a similarity among the bands but the vocal, I fucking love this, the music is good, yes, but the vocal is the one thing that makes this better than GOOD! Metal music at it's best !!!!!!!!!
