Looking forward to seeing you do the next mission, I am currently on it and it is freaking rough at the start on hard. Mission 13 GDI was one of my faves years ago playing on the N64 but on hard it's pure BS.
I found the next one really easy. Just head north at the start to set up base. Build a wall to cut off enemies coming from the left and defend the bottom with turrets, rockets and tanks. Then buy the choppers to scout vision north of the tiberian which is over the cliff and the building you need to destroy is right there :) I'm interested to see what Alstar does.
@@benmaskell8144 I ended up taking my MCV to the bottom left and making the base there cutting off the entrance to the north with sandbags first and then cutting off the far east after. It was easy after that. Honestly if it wasn't for Sandbags things would be so much more difficult.
This is actually very easy if you can save that first Chinook. Just take out the SAM sites around your base and then load up Mobius to the Transport and it just simply leaves towards the South.
@@UncleUncleRj Hmmm...You just need to be quick. Select it as soon it appears, ignore anything else going on like the other units appearing, and then move it away from the SAM Sites. Then you just need to take said sites itself and then when that is done you just load up Mobius up. It then automatically lifts off and leaves towards the south like I mentioned.
@@UncleUncleRj Well crud! Apparently I was playing on the Casual Setting during this mission. It's possible to do this in Casual not Normal or Hard. As it apparently the Transport goes suicidal and runs right into the SAM Sites. Just like you mentioned, even if you try to grab it and try to get it to land inside your base for repairs it just keeps flying. My apologies, apparently its scripted to do that from what I understand. Grumble. I didn't remember I was playing on Casual during this mission. My only advice for this mission after a couple of times right now playing the mission is to try to take out those three SAM Sites first thing. Use your Medium Tank, the Mammoth, and the Rocket Launcher you get at the start of the game and just go over destroying all of the SAM Sites around your base before Nod can do anything else with them. Then reinforce your tank group with more Medium Tanks as shown in this video. As much as you can afford. If you need more money sell one of the power plants and the hospital. Then come in from the back like this video does but to destroy the power plants to prevent that darn Nod Laser from covering that SAM Site in the Base itself. Do not try to destory the rest of the base just take out the Power Plants and if you can the Construction Yard. Before finally moving on to the last SAM Sites to win the mission when the second Transport Chopper shows up and you can load Moebius up into it. EDIT: One last bit of advice make sure you do not loose that Mammoth I did a run of this mission where I stupidly let it get destroyed and trying to get those Power Plants and the Yard was quite harder then it should have been. Same with that Missile Launcher which can really help in taking out those Power Plants.
@@robertdrexel2043 Ah - that makes sense. Yeah, I beat the mission on hard but I couldn't get the first transport to obey commands so I thought maybe there was a trick to it.
Infantry self destruction is the worst feature in Tiberian Dawn/RA & Tiberian Sun/RA2. And this is the only reason why you can't take a bunch of infantry in a heavily guarded base..
Fortunately, if Mobius dies. His clone is still in Albania. So we don't have to worry.
It's very easy if you know exactly what to do and where those sam sites are. Taking out that power plant also helped you disable their laser towers.

I have couple of ideas. It may involve a 200 IQ move.

how do you do that?

@@robertdrexel2043 Every time I try that, the transport helicopter does not obey commands. It just flies into the SAM's cover zone.

How is this on hard? You barely have any enemies coming at you. I am playing normal mode amd have constant swarms of enemies.
