Thanks - this was helpful. And in the spirit of ‘if you don’t ask, you don’t get’, I’m going to repeat my questions here in case they get picked up after the event. Specifically in the book publishing space, what are Kickstarter’s key differentiators vs the other major crowdfunding platforms (eg, Unbound, Indiegogo, GoFundMe, etc)? Which genres/segments might find more success on a different platform since Kickstarter can’t dominate them all? Many thanks
I have a Kickstarter campaign and I can tell you that if you don’t have a following you’ll most likely not get funded. I have 15 people following my campaign but none have converted to actual backers. They also don’t tell you that people will come and message you trying to get you to pay them for promoting your campaign which is something that is very annoying.
@@rscio7822 yes a following on social media or even TH-cam. If you don’t have a large amount of followers then getting exposure to your campaign is difficult. But it all depends on how you market. I’ve tried several times and got nowhere.
Thank you for including my book, The Wonderful World of Zuri Rose 🌸

This wasn't what I was expecting and it felt a bit like an ad. It wasn't tailored for beginning authors.
Thanks so much. I loved this and I appreciate you.
