If you want to unlock the technology faster, you should use the units that are the last unlocked unit of each line. The silver stars are displayed at the bottom right of a unit card (on both technology views) that can be used to unlock the next unit. To earn the silver stars you have to use the units in combat, because the silver stars are unit specific.
F5 in the main menu, then way at the bottom of the window that pops up there is a tiny "clear cache" text you can click on. It fixes that messed up STATS and INFORMATION bug
@@hodey19 Oh and I figured out how to track when you get the purple units. If you are looking at the map there is a "objectives" tab where you can see what you need to do to get the units and the divisions.

The purple units are earned through the game, kind of like achievements, they cannot be bought.
It is kind of distracting when people play other games in the background.
