Best announcement ever!!! Videos 7 days a week🎉❤ And who doesn’t love a garden tour?!?! 👏🏼 👏🏼 So fun and inspiring to see what other gardeners are accomplishing and enjoying.
I love the Garden Tours. I always see some new idea that I hadn't thought of before. I also am writing down the plants the bloom each Month. That was a great idea
Janey, how lucky are we that we get to sit down with you every morning of the week with our cup of coffee! Absolutely love garden tour content so am looking forward to your Sunday edition in addition to your informative content everyday. You always inspire me to “get out into my garden today.” Thank you for being you. ❤
For Angela in Ventura - start local with master gardeners, your local exchange, display/demo gardens and arboretums. Then check local nurseries. Then go to PW or Monrovia for more inspiration if needed.
For Angela in Ventura, I would also suggest checking out local nurseries and Master Gardener programs for ongoing lectures and demonstrations. I also strongly suggest adding to your library “Sunset Western Garden” book, the Bible for gardening in California. I’m down the coast in zone 10 b and although some may think that we can grow everything , that is not the case . We just don’t get enough chill hours for plants such as peonies and lilacs to perform well. Not complaining, I would not want to garden anywhere else.
I wish we had someone as great as Janey and her TH-cam channel, growing, planting, teaching and videotaping beautiful flowering plants in their 10 b zone garden. I am a beginner gardener, and that would help me out a lot. 😊
I hope you do a tour on Mackinaw Island. The other day I was watching garden tours on Mackinaw Island and I thought I would love to see Janey’s reaction to these gardens, and today you mentioned your viewers garden on the island. I truly hope you get to go and visit.
Hi Angela in Ventura. Think about what kind of garden you want? No garden is no maintenance but some designs require a lot of attention. Plant your trees or hedges for privacy, wind breaks or shade first. They grow before you know it , taking into consideration their overall height and width and root growth if close to your house 🏡. Google, a local garden center or master gardeners in your area are great resources. Have fun you’ll learn so much from doing. Hope this helps. Excited for viewer gardens, Janey!
I love love love the garden tours so much! They are always so fun seeing how different people use plants I also love when you go to garden centers and show us their unique features❤
Love your content and enthusiasm! Keep following your hunches and do what you love. That’s the best we can hope to see, more of you and more gardens. Thank you for all the effort you and Jason put into this, I know it’s great for family life, too.
WOW! You just gave us a ton of exciting news! Thank you for everything you do for us Janey! And thanks to Aileen too, for videoing the "secret" recipe for us!
I'm most excited about the native plant garden tours! I've recently started to realize the benefit of planting natives and would love to see how people are designing their gardens with natives in mind. Thank you!
Thank you for answering my question! I am happy you are adding the garden tours on Sunday. Everything is transforming into beautiful at your new property and home.
Lol, "Watch it if you want.". Hahahahhahahà. WE WILL! Your mix of work on your property and garden tours in CA have made DPWR my #1 watch. Especially if they're in your area. You are giving me/us insights for what works in our difficult zone.
Well Sundays just got a whole lot more fun, hooray for DPWR videos 7 days a week!! 💚 Looking forward to the cool items you and Courtney will be adding to the shop. My virtual shopping cart is all ready to add some beautiful things!! 🛒🇨🇦
JANIE, Go TO Mackinaw Island and do garden tours!!!! You and Jack could meet up too. How Fun! Someone that has a guest house, let Janie come and stay to do her tours there!
For your guest in Ventura I suggest going to Seaside Gardens in Carpintirea they have an amazing demonstration garden with all the wonderful things that grow in that zone
Really appreciate the recipe again. Also, I visited Bauman's Nursery and picked up Supertunia Bubble Gum and Pink Cashmere Verbena. I live 45 minutes away and never knew about them until I saw your video. Many thanks.
Loved this video as always you never disappoint Janey, question whatever happened to you and Robbie’s competition a few weekends back I know it rained but was there a video out of that I never saw it and I’ve also posted the question to him sure wish we could see that event and how it went and who won if you did compete after all fun times I’m sure ❤😊
Yes, yes, yes more Janey and more garden tours !!!! I really hope you get to go to Mackinac Island. I follow Jack Barnwell as well and love his garden tours on the Island.
For Angela--Seaside Gardens nursery in Carpenteria has a really nice display garden and a nice selection of interesting and climate appropriate plants for your area. Get yourself a copy of the Sunset Western Garden Book which is a great basic reference with a deep understanding of our climate in the west.
ANGELA-Jim Putnam is an AWESOME teaching/learning resource and Janey refers to him too. He has a new series called “learn to garden” for each month and is adjustable For zone you live in.
I feed my roses one time only. The cheapest I do is: In January after pruning the roses. I pull back the mulch. Mix Organic manur; chicken 1($5/bag): steer 1($6/bag) from Green Acres. Placed 3 handfull around, then 3 handfull of alfalfa pellets without molasses(from Tractor Supply, $25/20 pounds bag). Then put the mulch back. Lots of basal breaks, green glossy leaves, big blooms.
Great chat Janey. Girl, you are rocking it. Thanks for explaining again the procedure for the ws fertilizer. Aileen is wonderful and I am going to make the Magic Recipe. I received my second DPWR tshirt and the water bottle and love them. Looking forward to all the videos coming. Thank you Janey.
I have a question about the VanWinden's 11:54 Magic Mix for roses. Do I apply this also to new bare root roses or established ones only? I love your program, great ideas. You have inspired me so much. We are 71 and making magic in our new rose gardens ( only 40 new roses). 😂
I’m not complaining about videos every day! Thank you! Weekends always started out dull cause there was no Janey with my morning coffee 😊 now I get to have coffee with Janey on Saturday and the whole week will just be full of sunshine ☀️ yay! Btw…you have to tell us how you make your coffee!
Wow! I love garden tours and who wouldn't want DPWR videos 7 days a week. These informative Saturday coffee chats are the best! Thank you. BTW - The "Secret" rose mix brought life back into my roses this year. Appreciate you sharing this rose fertilizer information.
The PW Grand Garden Tour on Mackinac Island was my 2020 bucket list trip (canceled) but I attended in 2022, which turned out to be the final event. Janey, you would LOVE the beautiful gardens there. Here in northwest Michigan we have a short growing season, but we make the best if it!
So exciting. Tip which you prob do buT i watch so many tours and they always fail to give more than one big all in one shot…they ae always focused on an individual flower and its nice to see how these flowers fit into the big picture. I remember your others so not sure why I felt the need to comment but soooo many people do and you cant see what they built as a whole.
So happy to see a video on Sunday also!! I watch your channel everyday with my afternoon coffee, so Sundays was without Dig, Plant,Water , Repeat...so what a great news!!
Perfect -I love Garden Tours. Greetings from Austria. I wanted to buy Proven Winners Supertunias here in Austria(Europe). It has been an odyssey , I guess I'm watching too much US-Garden Tours!😅 But on Monday I will get them!😊😊😊
Love your channel and watch everyday! Whoo Whoo Sundays too!!!! I bought the Ortho hose end sprayer and have Proven Winner fertilizer arriving today. I heard you answer today to the question about how much to use. You said all of it but you must mix it with some amount of water, right? How much water? Fill up the sprayer container and mix w powder?
Excited about the garden tours! They are one of my favorite. How fun to see viewer gardens too. I am interested to see the native tour you spoke about with the meadow even though (and I know it’s controversial) I’m overall not a fan of native gardens. They are too unkempt looking for me.
Yay, garden tours! Love visiting other gardens thank you for taking us along! Question, where can I find some of those coffee cups you are drinking coffee from. I have been wanting one of those cups forever.
Thank you Janie for the magic rose food recipe. I have the EB Stone rose food but where do you find the other ingredient? The Sal Po Mog? Tried Amazon couldn’t find it.
We just finished the Sacramento native garden tour. We were not able to see them all but I do hope you get the chance to tour Jeb's garden and Marla's.
@@DigPlantWaterRepeat thats great! We loved not only the beautiful garden but the hand stamped tags (with botanical names no less) and our favorite part was the interactive “smell my leaves”. 😂
Hi Janey! So excited about more videos! 😍 Thank you so much! I have a question: Which emitter do you use for your roses? The 0.5, 1 or 3 gallons per hour? And do you turn them on every day? Thanks in advance! I’ve learned so much from you! 💚
I love that the False Climbing Hydrangea is called Schizophragma like it has a mental disease. Pretending to grow just like the "real" Climbing Hydrangea. My Climbing Hydrangea is 50 ft tall up my tree and blooms beautiful early June!
Best announcement ever!!! Videos 7 days a week🎉❤
