    Alytus, a Lithuanian city in the south, was a big center of partisan fighting. I think the song refers to that city. When describing a location or place we have a different letter at the end, so "Alytus" -"Alyte". Grammatically correctly it would be "Alytuje" but it is slang from which I am guessing, that's why the name is transformed to "Alyte"
