I was just planning to do paladin and VDH since I know those the best. Could potentially do a guardian video but I haven't played it since season 2 so I wouldn't want to spread misinformation.
Hi, i think that for M+ the best weapon is Forgestrom by far and the another is better for Raid. So the ring goes actived with fire dmg not shadow, and Forgestorm has a good proc and also 2,4% dmg or higher. Also playing Sophic Devotion gives just 1% parry and Wafting Devotion is 0,3s cd, so I guess better Wafting Devotion. Versatility at cap 30% for 15% total dmg reduction is mandatory and easy to reach with the flask 10.2.6 in 1024 versa points. Mastery at 42-43% for 25% dmg reduction on consecration. Playing Iced Philial of Corruption Rage gives total +3% parry, Phial of Tepid Versatility gives 2% total dmg reduction. About the rotation, I am disagree so in 10.2.6 is mandatory to keep on the main buffs: deflecting light, relentless inquisitor, streng in adversity and redoubt over 95%; Ally of the light over 90%. So then the rotation in opening will be (when mobs are coming to you): consecration, blessed hammer, judgement, avenger shield, sentinel, bastion of light, ....
Gholak sims higher than forgestorm by about 3% single target, and more AOE because it has main stats on it. The stats are kinda w.e Rotation wise, I'm pretty sure i got it down though.
@@YoDaEZ yea, but i was talking about to active the ring's shield 😄 with Forgestorm: Seal of Philial Duty + Forgestorm = Broodkeeper's Barrier (370K shield for 6 sec) and the proc is between 20-45%. Not bad. I really like to test numbers in ptr. I have not your skilled hands.
Nice video, very helpful! So many trinkets to choose from, good thing its just 2/3 for prot! A few unclear points - 1: On AOE rotation, isnt weaving in Hmmer of Wrath to extend Sentinel better then Avenger's Shield(assuming u dont need a kick) or hammer of the righteous? 2: Doesnt the parry 7% and 8% vers gain make up for the 10% dr (or less if it was nerfed in a hypothetical alternate universe where S3 Tier was voted for prot S4) in the set?
In my experience, FTD is a lot more than 13% increased uptime. The other options are definitely viable though, darkglare in particular is good in dungeons where a lot of the damage is not parriable.
Agreed; deflecting light, relentless inquisitor, streng in adversity, redoubt and Ally of the light are the over 90% buff to stand alive in S4. So to save Avenger's shield for interrupt isn't recomended. It seems possible to stay close to 50% dmg reduction: 43% mastery (25% dr consecration), 30% versa (15% dr), 3% Devotion Aura, 4% Ally of light = 47% dr+ 30% sentinel =77% dr for 18 sec (calculated in ptr 10.2.6). Opening with consecration, blessed hammer, judgement, avenger shield, sentinel, bastion of light could keep on all the buffs during the whole combat. Gran Crusader is needed to mantein Ally of Light and spawning blessed hammer longs it and has the chance to reset the cd of Avenger's shield.
Haven't really thought about it but probably prioritizing either gholak or shield > the other one > seal of filial duty > rageheart > seal of diurna's chosen.
Helm enchant, gholak. Paladins deal radiant damage… which is fire. And if you really want to forgo lariat and the haste pants, you could go with the rousing flame embellishments. Paladin has more ways to proc fire than other tanks, I wouldn’t worry about it
If interrupts are now more important than stops, then how did paladin get worse? Paladins will now have no unblocked/ avoided hits and more freedom on gear. It may be slightly more vulnerable to tank busters but will be taking less damage as will whoever standing close to them. The ‘unhittable’ could even allow you to use Crusaders resolve in dungeons Druid improves a bit, warrior dk and brewmaster can’t improve. You seem to be shooting from the hip on this rather than doing the math or asking yourself “compared to what?” My question to you: what will be your raid tank?
I was kinda disagreeing with the vid in some aspect. Crit is still going to be a thing. Initially tank buster and pulling big groups will be an issue of course. From what i learned as long as you have a balance from crit and mastery...you can last a while. But from this vid, its more of a dungeon build not a raid build.
@@newera3443 raiders use a lot or crit generally, medium mastery. We're prob just ditching verse while haste/ crit/ mastery creep up. The rings present an issue to grapple with. It may just be tha6t any gear is OP given the distribution available as long as it isn't versatility - like Blood DK's haven't had consensus besides "wear 4600 of everything" for a few patches. With paladin its clearer that haste is king, crit and mastery are second, and verse is negligible
Agreed, pala prot seems 3th in meta after DH and Warrior, but the difficulty is keeping on the buffs the whole combat + interrupting + using defensives on right time, ...
