Kagomori Castle Ruins (National Historic Site, Sequel to Japan's 100 Famous Castles)
This is a mountain castle that was used as a castle during the Sengoku period (from the mid-1500s to the late 1500s).
The lord of the castle is Noritada Kawarabuchi, who was adopted from the Tosa Ichijo clan ~ Chosokabe clan
After Toyotomi Hideyoshi conquered Shikoku, the Toda clan, Todo clan, and Tomita clan
~When the Date clan moved to Uwajima, the chief retainer, the Kuwaori clan, lived there.
The castle was abandoned due to the promulgation of the One Country One Castle Law in 1615.
In the past, the existence of tile-roofed buildings and Tamon Yagura has been confirmed, and it is said that there was a building equivalent to a castle tower.
As a result of excavating Kagomori Castle, the remains of the castle were discovered.
Kuruwa, building ruins, horikiri, dry moats, stone walls, earthworks, etc. have been found, and you can feel the vestiges of the past.

20年程まえに本州の東の住まいから、地元の方の道案内で谷筋を登って見学したことがあります。当時からよく整備されていて細部まで見て回ることが出来たのが印象深いです。

自分もお城の遺構がしっかり残っていて素晴らしいと感じました。
自分が行った時も、西第十曲輪の竪堀と堀切が近くで見学できる道を整備していました。
