First, thanks so much for telling a coming out story that isn't about suburban White kids. Second, Alex was right! We often make more out of the coming out, displaying of PDA process than most other folks typically tend to care about. It often stems from our own appropriately manifested fears of loss/rejection. You might be surprised what happens when we give ourselves permission to simply be who we are. I do, however, also understand the multi-layered and complex nature of what 'coming out' can be like for two men from communities of color. The struggle is real...thanks so much for sharing!!!
People tend to be more accepting if they see you aren't going to back down, hence the PDA's.... at least in the non-ethnic, suburban white world. And I agree that way too many of these coming out/coming of age stories are about 'wonderbread' white kids. Like.... Really? There're NO white kids who grow up in families where not everyone speaks English? It's funny:If you're Latinx nobody is surprised if you're third generation and you speak halfway decent Spanish. But if your family's from somewhere in northern Europe ether white peope are like "That's so cool." Sorry for rambling, but you made some good points that got me thinking :-)

This is a beautiful story; it shows that if you are really in love with someone, one is willing to learn the other person hobbies. Both Alex and Trevor although felt uncomfortable in playing basketball/dancing Waltz, they each agreed to do so; to make their love partner happy and in the end that what really matters. They made a handsome couple, but DAMMMMMMMMMM Trevor is super handsome! This short story is similar to that of my boyfriend Andrae and I; he's a very handsome Afro-American guy and I' Hispanc (Puerto Rican) we both had to learn and grow with each other. Love will always win!!!
When you have the eyes watery . but the teacher charge them with 25 bucks for the dance class , and you die laughing. This is the second time I watch this video and I can't avoid it.
