I've been watching Bob Newhart ever since I was a child back in the 1950s. He is a great natural deadpan comedian.

The 1970s Bob Newhart Show could have ran more than 6 seasons since the ratings were still good but Bob decided to go off on top rather than stay on until the show ran out of gas (like most shows do).
Then there was “Newhart”; quite the spin in the last episode.
