Thanks guys, you have become an amazing channel with tons of great information. Your video production value is awesome, and your audio is much better than the earlier days. Congrats on the number of subs! You have almost doubled in just a few short months. By the way, where did you get that 'Blue Monster"?
I find it heart warming for you and your son being able to work together. We need more of that in the world, as well as the patience and desire to teach the younger generation. Walk in peace
My dad and I work on a lot of projects together. He’s learned a lot of handyman stuff in his lifetime and teaches me stuff I don’t know. He’s better at drywall, carpentry than I am. I’m an HVAC tech so whenever I have install jobs or repairs , he helps me out and we share knowledge between each other .
This detail is what no other channel provides. I noticed that when I started renovation my kitchen, there were so many small issues that no other video has covered.
So cool to go back and watch the earlier episodes. Both Paul and Jordan have evolved so much, but the earnestness and problem solving savvy evident today had its roots even back then. My favorite channel.
Man, I hate that I didn't find y'all's channel till after I started my kitchen remodel! I've been doing general home repairs for over 20 years, but I learn new tips in every video I watch. Thanks for sharing your knowledge and keep up the great content.
I came across this by accident and can't stop watching. Love how you are friendly and inviting and helpful and smart! The info is worth it's weight in gold
Man I wish I could work with you guys. You hold a very high standard of quality work like I do. You took the time to start the hole and then drill from the opposite side and not just drill and let it blowout on the other side like most people would do because they figure it’s under the sink and no one would see it. It’s the little things that count.
I do a lot of work around my home and your videos are the best I've seen. You guys explain things in a very understanding fashion!! Hope you keep doing this...I'll keep on watching. Take care.
@Supa Trending Daily What do you do with all that unsupported weight then? Can't leave it dangling there as was mentioned in anther part off the video by Paul.
My goodness, we need more people like you & your Son to help people with renovations - just received kitchen cabinets and the installers where not right for the job. My advice to anyone, please do not select contractor or business and you don't know the experience of the construction or install crew. They relied on me to tell them and I mistakenly thought they would be expertise advise - I am living a disaster with a kitchen that I do not love. Spent $15k on cabinets full of fillers and a farmhouse sink reduced from 33" to 28" - PEOPLE please do research, don't rush your project. Great video - wish I had seen this before hand - Thank you!
I hope I can describe this well. My contractor routered two channels for some heavy duty steel strips (probably 2-3 inches in width). The steel supports the bar portion of counter goes beyond the cabinet. In my opinion, one can never have enough counter top. I suggest you encourage the home owner to lengthen the overhang to the esthetic maximum. Thanks for another great video packed with valuable information and techniques.
OMG. Never saw those boxes before. Will have a box of them in the van in a few days! Ive been a handyman for 15 plus years and said a million times i would never use that pex crap.... Until i spent a couple hundred on the tools and a bunch of different pex connectors. Now I say, I would never solder pipes again! Great job guys!
Keep up the good work and I love the father and son combination and love y’all work and don’t let no negativity take y’all down just smile and enjoy the ride
Excellent work! Plumber of over 20 years and a contractor for 10, I was taught a phrase and stood behind it and you guys epitomize it! People don't know what a bad contractor is because they never had a good one.
I worked with my dad for many years installing gym floors and it was never that joyful like you guys working together .tho I love my father and I learned a lot from him working together no good
I watched hundreds of hours of TH-cam and dont always hit the like button on videos. I wish I can hit it 2 times for u guys. Great content! You get straight to the point. You keep me engaged and you dont skip any info. Step by step and I dont lose interest. Keep it up
Love this video as it demonstrates how in depth a cabinet company can go in one small area to get a custom fit and look. This is exactly why the price is differnt between the companies that don't do this every day and those that do. For the professionals that go to this length, I hope your charging accordingly because there are plenty of companies that charge less and send in a guy that can't execute the finished result that most customers expect.
Really good video and step by step instructions. Taking about 80% of what you are showing for my project. The only difference is that my sink and my cabinet (same as yours) does not require the support you have in between them due to the height but really good to learn everything you did. Thank you!
My husband and I watch you a lot. He wouldn’t pay someone to make him anything, he does everything himself. After watching you on TH-cam he would hire you for any job (His words) ... You and your son have mad skill! You’re a great team (my words).
Great tips on avoiding some big regrets that only experience can teach you. Can't wait to see what you decide on for protecting the fridge door. Another good vid guys.
You two are charisma overload!♥️✨🙌🏼😊 Knowledge + wisdom + mad skill + good looking faces!!!! My new favorite channel! Thanks for sharing your expertise!
Terrific video guys. I am building my own cabinets and you have given me invaluable know how to fit my sink. I replaced a picture window on the front of my 120 year old house . When i looked at it from the outside it looked like a drunk had installed it .
kick ass. protip: take your stanley measuring tapes and unwind them two full turns to make the recoil less. That way when the hook retracts into the case, it wont slam and prematurely wear out the hook rivets. thanks
Tools in the work area is my pet peeve with my employes. Tools only can damage those cabinets when dropped or accidentally falls off and bounces up only to gouge the cabinet. Tools belong in a safe location, just my way of working.
Just a suggestion --on the right side of sink next to dishwasher - Please tell me you are going to beef it up . The front of plywood is not going to support that counter 21:35 . From the LVLs up to the bottom of the sub top.. I love this channel !
It should be fine, 3/4 plywood is stronger than you’d think and he has that stretcher running from front to back. That being said more support definitely wouldn’t hurt.
Man you guys are great craftsman I mean it, like you said about the sawall, most people are hacks who just wanna get the job done rip someone off and get down the road. Thats why you've had so much repeat business. I dont get why people nowadays can't get that threw their thick skulls. Take pride in your work as it reflects on who you are as a man. All I have to say is you two must take that to heart. I'm very impressed, keep up the great work.
Smooth farm sink install but huge shout out to the leveling of the window ledge, awesome job. They sure don't make the kreg jigs like they used to, that thing is sweet.
im a plumber, helpful tip. I watched yall put multiple faucet supply stops on, if you put a bit of pipe dope on the stop threads it will decrease friction, eliminate squeak and squeal and allow you to tighten them with supreme confidence. Just dont get any pipe dope inside the sealing / seating of the stop or you contaminate the water supply
A squirrel could do pull-ups! Haha I like the quarter turn valves too. Not having to shut off the main water valve because you put in extra ball valves makes life much easier. That double layer of Styrofoam will make the kitchen much warmer or cooler in summer. Great job guys!
UNDER the SINK and you don't think it worth doing because it is not required by CODE? Are you kidding me? What happened to doing the job right? Shame on you two!
Also did the farm sink, and had to the same exact thing with the plywood and cabinet face! Felt like farm sink was definitely the best option since I was cutting the granite myself and didn't want to tackle the recessed sink aspect.
You could use steel plat with a rib that attaches to the wall behind the cabinet. Could tuck right behind the drawers and provide the cantilever support that it needs.
You guys do a great job. I would have still liked a little more support on the dishwasher side (that plywood piece looks iffy), but otherwise that's going to be a fantastic kitchen. On the support for the table, maybe some wrought iron deco 90 support (to go with the farm sink).
Just alittle tip if you use a bit of megaloc on your compression Fittings it want dry lock and Squeak when they get tight, it will lube it and make it much smoother while you tighten it. It's Been useful for the last 35 years, a old plumber showed me that a long time ago.
I've mentioned this before on one of your other Cabinet vids. There may be hinge restrictors available for the cabinet hinges. They would prevent the door handle from hitting the wall or an adjacent deep cabinet, panel or fridge upper. They are for the full euro, not sure about the hybrids you are using. Also you don't have the adjustment with yours that is available on the full euro hinges. Good job on the farm sink. The fridge may have a plate on either the top or bottom pivot that will restrict the door from going past 90 degrees. I had to swap 25 fridges from one hand to the other and these plates were on both the top and bottom pivots.
I definitely like how dad uses what ever they are working on as a way to tell you to hit the like button very witty wire up that like button to get a jump on those views
You guys are super neat! I work for a remodeling company and is awesome to see different ways of doing things. I believe you can learn from everyone, on what to do and what no to do lol
13:54 WOW! at the end of my day today, i was in this predicament and for the life of me couldn't remember this simple solution, but, HERE IT IS!!! Amazing! thank you for jostling my brain fart, tomorrow while start out smoothly.
We router out the top of the sub top (lol) 1/2" deep and put a 4" x 7/16"" plate steel piece going back over the cabinets as far as they stick out. One over the front edge of the base cabinets and one over the back edge. You could bolt the back one onto that knee wall and be super sturdy. We regularly do 3' overhangs. We use binding posts and screws to fasten the steel to the sub top ( those little pieces that have a threaded hollow piece with a screw head that a screw screws into. .lol) That way underneath all you see are some recessed screw heads and you can skin it if you want. We've only had 1 get broken and it was a 300 lb. plus guy who was sitting on it, it broke after he had been setting on it for almost a year. This is not a seat ?
"I think a squirrel could get under here and do pull-ups and be all right!" ..... HAHAHA.... I just spit out my drink hearing that. I love this channel. Keep up the great work Stud Pack!
Turn the saw blade around backward in your table saw for cutting foam and it burns through it more than chipping through it, makes way less foam dust. Just remember to turn it back around before you cut wood again.
When I did my custom granite countertops a few months ago, I ran into the same issue with the subtop that sat by the Kitchen window. It was similar to this layout where it actually was 4 inches or so above the kitchen countertops with the sink. The framing was all out of whack as well, is that common with these kitchen window lookouts? I ended up doing a similar job to yours with the support brackets, but did it underneath the plywood subtop to make installing the granite simpler for me. Then to ensure the countertop would be completely level after I laid the stone, I put in three 2 by 6 L shaped support brackets. The old formica was sitting on basically nothing before but little half inch blocks, it's crazy. This thing was more difficult than cutting the actual granite countertops from the slab!
Didn't have to build a base for the like button ,but I did have to level it using your technique. Never noticed a problem with it before a consummate pro like you made me aware of these things.🤔
Hey Paul, why not make it a full panel to support the countertop and separate the farm sink from the dish washer? Even just adding some blocking from the LVL to the horizontal cross bar would beef it up a little more. Otherwise great video as usual. I went ahead and added a full support panel to the like button and smashed it.
Run 1/4 steel strips under the plywood. Router it out so it flush but run it and give it a 90 and fasten it into the lower cabinet..sorta like a hide away bracket..it will be internal and allow u to hang the stone with invisible support
Depot has a made in Italy, BrassCraft, double ball valve, 1/4 turn, solid brass, - independent for the sink/ dishwasher for about $25, that will never fail. No plastic...
Dang them farm sinks are super popular by you guys. Haven't seen one here yet but I'm sure they're coming haha. You know how it is. Great work as always.
Enjoy seeing you and your son working together. I may be old school, but the overuse of the word, dude, could be limited, especially to one’s father. I understand the younger generation, and how they even call girls dude, but dads not dude 😊
I’m just barely an apprentice but, If you’re already changing out the outlets you could ask the customer if they wish to upgrade to GFI or GFCI the cost at that point is minimal.
How about a Mid Sunday Afternoon Video Gang?! Lots of information in this one we think you’ll enjoy. Thanks for all the support 👍🏼
Thanks guys, you have become an amazing channel with tons of great information. Your video production value is awesome, and your audio is much better than the earlier days. Congrats on the number of subs! You have almost doubled in just a few short months.
By the way, where did you get that 'Blue Monster"?
That was fun. Has the water gone down in BR?
Feels good to come home on a Sunday and see a video from you both. Really enjoy these videos.
I find it heart warming for you and your son being able to work together. We need more of that in the world, as well as the patience and desire to teach the younger generation. Walk in peace

Watching Phil win the PGA and a Studpack video at the same time?! What a wonderful sunday!
the blocks for the copper pipes are really really smart, too many folks would just leave them hanging in my experience
@Supa Trending Daily What do you do with all that unsupported weight then?
Can't leave it dangling there as was mentioned in anther part off the video by Paul.
@Supa Trending Daily it still can move enough
@Supa Trending Daily you're the opposite of smart
I love watching you guys work.
I’m a granite countertop fabricator, you guys can skip the plywood.
Using a 1” 1/4 quartz you don’t need 3/4 plywood.
I learn just about everything I need to know doing home DIY renovations! You’ve been such an amazing help to me!! Thx fellas! ❤️

Lots of cool tricks. Especially liked the leveling out trick with the kreg jig and the screws. Thanks for showing us.
This is a straight up master class in carpentry.
OMG. Never saw those boxes before. Will have a box of them in the van in a few days! Ive been a handyman for 15 plus years and said a million times i would never use that pex crap.... The ceiling shot gave me a shiver down my back, so freaking perfect/clean.
That was the best farm house sink I’ve seen. Thank you.
Clever way to flush the plywood in garden window. Nice.
Keep up the good work and I love the father and son combination and love y’all work and don’t let no negativity take y’all down just smile and enjoy the ride
Hats off to remodelers .
It takes a special mindset and talent to do that kind of work at that high a level.
Excellent work! Plumber of over 20 years and a contractor for 10, I was taught a phrase and stood behind it and you guys epitomize it!
People don't know what a bad contractor is because they never had a good one.
Thx Jason much appreciated 👍💪
I worked with my dad for many years installing gym floors and it was never that joyful like you guys working together .tho I love my father and I learned a lot from him working together no good
I’ve filed away in my brain the little tricks you guys use for future reference. Thanks !
Another great video Paul and Jordan. You all be safe out there and keep the video's coming!

Top notch work. This customer is very fortunate.
Look at that stud with the fresh merch. Happy I watched this so I can adjust my supply hoses to my sink.
Your a great contractor ! Great work
As a plumber, use map gas. Makes soldering faster.
Our cabinets are going in today. Glad our cabinet manufacturer makes a cabinet for farm sink! 😊
Love this video as it demonstrates how in depth a cabinet company can go in one small area to get a custom fit and look. The 727 refurb story. That's my profession!! Been in that industry for 25 years. Neat to hear the cross-over story.
Really good video and step by step instructions. Taking about 80% of what you are showing for my project. You two are charisma overload!♥️✨🙌🏼😊
Knowledge + wisdom + mad skill + good looking faces!!!! My new favorite channel! Thanks for sharing your expertise!
Much appreciated Jessica 👍💪
"A squirrel could get up under there and do pull-ups." This line made me laugh.
So many good tips here. Thanks guys. Building an outdoor kitchen soon with a sink. Your recent videos will help ensure it’s done the “Stud Pack” way.
Man we'd love to tackle one of those one day!
Terrific video guys. I am building my own cabinets and you have given me invaluable know how to fit my sink. I replaced a picture window on the front of my 120 year old house . When i looked at it from the outside it looked like a drunk had installed it .

It should be fine, 3/4 plywood is stronger than you’d think and he has that stretcher running from front to back. That being said more support definitely wouldn’t hurt.
Stunning and beautiful as always guys!!!👍🏼
Ok, those adjustable are a new one for me. Those are sweet.
my whole house is eyeballed, nothing can be out of whack if everything is out of whack.
not sure about regular pink style insulation but can vouch that a bread knife works absolutely amazing on Rockwool
I use a long non-serrated bread knife on fiberglass bat insulation. Much better than a utility knife.
Those adjustable outlet boxes are mint! Always great work
Man you guys are great craftsman I mean it, like you said about the sawall, most people are hacks who just wanna get the job done rip someone off and get down the road. Thats why you've had so much repeat business. I dont get why people nowadays can't get that threw their thick skulls. Take pride in your work as it reflects on who you are as a man. All I have to say is you two must take that to heart. I'm very impressed, keep up the great work.
Thx mad max 💪👍
You all remind me of the This Old House Team. You explain what you're doing and why. Very good work!
Great job fellas. Some things are what they are. Don't over think it looks great. If you walk around our own home will find all kinds of imperfections
Watching your videos, it’s all about the little details that make the job. Nicely done, thanks for the information. 👍
Smooth farm sink install but huge shout out to the leveling of the window ledge, awesome job. They sure don't make the kreg jigs like they used to, that thing is sweet.
Great job as usuall fellas! Y'all are such an inspiration to guys like me! Thank you thank you!
im a plumber, helpful tip. What is the color y'all paint these cabinets?! It's gorgeous!
A squirrel could do pull-ups! Haha I like the quarter turn valves too. Not having to shut off the main water valve because you put in extra ball valves makes life much easier. That double layer of Styrofoam will make the kitchen much warmer or cooler in summer. Great job guys!
Just because "it's not code" for the GFCI doesn't mean it shouldn't be done. You guys go above and beyond and do great work why that decision?
Yes, exactly my though too.
If something should happen later, is being "to code" really going to ease your conscious?
I kinda thought the same. It may not be code, but it could save his client's life. You guys do amazing work, why save the couple bucks?
Yeah, after seeing the set up of the pipes with all the joints, it HAS to be GFCI, code or not
EDIT: Unless it's already GFCI protected downstream
UNDER the SINK and you don't think it worth doing because it is not required by CODE? Are you kidding me? What happened to doing the job right? Shame on you two!
Nice to see a job done right. You guys always take the time to install things so they will last and i love the detail you go into.
Also did the farm sink, and had to the same exact thing with the plywood and cabinet face! Felt like farm sink was definitely the best option since I was cutting the granite myself and didn't want to tackle the recessed sink aspect.
Cool thx William 👍
You could use steel plat with a rib that attaches to the wall behind the cabinet. Could tuck right behind the drawers and provide the cantilever support that it needs.
I learn so much every time I watch
You guys do a great job. I would have still liked a little more support on the dishwasher side (that plywood piece looks iffy), but otherwise that's going to be a fantastic kitchen. On the support for the table, maybe some wrought iron deco 90 support (to go with the farm sink).
Pair of legends back at.
YOU’RE the legend David! First comment on a Sunday, beautiful 💪🏼
Just alittle tip if you use a bit of megaloc on your compression Fittings it want dry lock and Squeak when they get tight, it will lube it and make it much smoother while you tighten it. It's Been useful for the last 35 years, a old plumber showed me that a long time ago.
I've never seen this. Great video. Classic Studpack!
You guys are too much fun!!
You could use some angle iron on top of the subtop overhang, if you're pouring the concrete countertops in place.
Get rid of the extra 3 ft of counter top, kids are gonna run into it,adults are gonna run into it,short and simple ,and no headaches, great video
Yea it's the perfect height for a kids forehead or an adults hip and pending on wether or not it's rounded could be really bad for either.
I agree. The big extension is ungainly.
nah keep the counter. theres not a lot of counter space so keep as much as you can
You guys are so awesome!! Always thinking ahead and making projects down the road that much easier!! Another fantastic video!!
We use binding posts and screws to fasten the steel to the sub top ( those little pieces that have a threaded hollow piece with a screw head that a screw screws into. .lol) That way underneath all you see are some recessed screw heads and you can skin it if you want.

cabinet making in the field ...nice work guys
Turn the saw blade around backward in your table saw for cutting foam and it burns through it more than chipping through it, makes way less foam dust. Just remember to turn it back around before you cut wood again.

stumbled across your channel today great work. I'll be binge-watching.
When I did my custom granite countertops a few months ago, I ran into the same issue with the subtop that sat by the Kitchen window. Lasers are great, for referencing how to work around a caddy wamper house.
Didn't have to build a base for the like button ,but I did have to level it using your technique. Never noticed a problem with it before a consummate pro like you made me aware of these things.🤔
over the refrigerator, I would paint the underside back and side interior cabinet pieces because there is exposed wood and screws.
Yeah that’s always an issue 👍
Seeing Paul’s reaction to eye balling the sink has me dying, I feel you pain man, if I do something I like for it to be perfect too.

That ceiling though!!! Looks great!
Run 1/4 steel strips under the plywood. Router it out so it flush but run it and give it a 90 and fasten it into the lower cabinet..sorta like a hide away bracket..it will be internal and allow u to hang the stone with invisible support

That’s why pops makes the big bucks!
Damn guys, you make it look like too much fun!! Another great job!! 👍👍👍😎🇨🇱
