For mirror symmetry, you don't really need to go to the symmetry tab and click the mirror button a bunch of times. You can just hit the x key to select mirror mode, and then all the changes you make for that chain of parts will automatically mirror.
as the "ksp genre" is still in its emerging state, you might just invented a method to compare a QOL features in such games: it's 'minutes per simplest plane/spacecraft' or 'simplest planes/spacecrafts per minute'. interesting video
@@Deltlead we can push the approach even further: a metric to measure tools of automatization (which is a must have in such vehicles). the unmodded ksp and ksp2 have almost nothing, and Juno's Vizzy is almost ideal (better, IMO, only visual blocks+node system combo - it's yet to discover)
you should've put the time challenges reversed, with the last one being the shortest. But you sold me into the game and your channel anyways... Nice job!
Big thing is to make sure that your center of lift (blue sphere) is behind your center of mass (red sphere) and that your center of mass is between your landing gear but close to your rear landing gear.
You just made an supercruise capable plane in 5 minutes while im struggling to takeoff 😭😭😭 By the way, you can assign a key for mouse control in the settings, so you can have fine control of the aircraft without needing for trim
Good point actually, I haven't been adding air brakes or flaps to my builds and usualy don't have the patience for an appropriate long glide to drop my speed. You're correct I'm not flying in a way that would make the FAA comfortable. It's just a game though. In a future build I think I'll try doing flaps to help cut my airspeed down
If you enjoyed this build cahllenge video comment below what other build challenges I should attempt!
Space shuttle
Bro, try Reusable Rocket!
@@janwelorlina6511 how about fully reusable space shuttle?👀
@@timmywu927 good idea 💡

Actually not a bad metric for judging a vehicle designer. "How quick can i make the stupidest thing that works?"

Decent Plane
Thanks!

maybe also show the 1 hour plane already done in the end as a bonus ! 🎥🤓
You know, you're right, I actually thought about that in the planning phase but went against my better judgement lol
Maybe the next speed build challenge I do I will
I'm struggle to make plane in my tab

You are landing waaaay too fast. Your take off speed is less than 100m/s and you're landing at 180m/s.
