    Nice video. My first thought upon seeing Luna was that the GUI was very condensed. Are there any settings to make it larger?

      Hi, thanks so much for watching taking the time to leave me comment - I really appreciate it!
      I found the best way to customise the look of Luna - is to experiment initially with the display resolution.
      Even though I have a BenQ 4K monitor, I mainly work at 2560 x 1440 or 1920 x 1080. Luna is still really sharp at the lower resolutions - but the text is so much bigger - so I can read it!
      You can then open or close each section (in the mixer view), by clicking on the arrows on the left hand side next to each section name. Eg: input, utility, tape, console.
      If you don’t need a section displayed at all, click on the orange circle next to the name, and it will hide that section all together.
      You can also decide whether or not you would like to see all of the information in certain sections or just an abbreviated version.
      When you open a section (and the grey arrow is pointing down to the left of the name), you will sometimes see additional buttons that can be clicked which will then display more information or a larger view on a track.
      I will definitely be making a video on this at some point, but in the meantime I hope this makes sense and deserve some help!
      Thanks again and enjoy!
      Matt

      @@DistantSunStudios Hi Matt, Thanks for the reply. I just checked out Luna again for the first time since the release, and I am really impressed. It has come a long way. I am going to purchase the Luna Pro Bundle and Neve Summing and make the switch from Pro Tools and Logic. I blame you and your videos (LOL). Take care -Michael.

      Hi Michael - no problem at all, you're very welcome. That's wonderful that your going to get the Pro bundle an Neve summing. You're in for a real treat, it's a wonderful platform that keeps going from strength to strength - UA work so hard on the updates and adding features! All the best, Matt

    hey there? Do you know how to put effects only on a highlighted part of a track, like putting a low pass filter on the very begging of the song only on the tracks you highlight? pro tools has this option but i cant figure it out in luna

      Hi, great to hear from you. Thanks so much for the message. I’m sorry it’s taken me awhile to get back to you.
      Yes you can apply pretty much any effect to a specific part of a track.
      I would do this using automation. You bring up all the automation options by clicking VIEW on the track that you would like to automate.
      This will open the view menu on the left-hand side, where all of the parameters available for automation well then appear.
      Then select the option that you would like to automate (low pass filter on an EQ plugin)
      Then just click and drag to highlight the area on the track where you would like to apply the filter.
      Then drag / draw on the automation line to the value that you would like to set the filter at.
      I hope that makes sense!
      If you would like me to make a quick tips video on this, it will be no problem at all. Just let me know.
      Have a great weekend, and thanks again for watching! Matt

      Thank you so much! I thought it would be a way without automation like pro tools but I get it. I will have to automate every single track. 🙏🏽🙏🏽

    • @DistantSunStudios
      @DistantSunStudios 5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hi, no problem at all! If you are looking to use the same automation across all the tracks - then a quick way of applying it would be to create a group for the tracks first. Or there is an option to just to highlight the word “selected” by clicking on it in the group tracks area (bottom left-hand corner of the interface). This way any time you select multiple tracks, any changes that you make will apply across all the selected tracks. You may well already know this, but if you select one track then hold down the shift key, you can then select as many tracks as you would like by clicking on Track furthest away that you would like to group together. if you want to select multiple tracks that aren’t located next to each other, just use the command key instead of the shift key and you can then group tracks that are spaced out throughout the session. I hope that makes sense, and all the best! Matt

    hi, you mentioned using superior drummer, i'm new to Luna in windows and would like to use superior drummer individual outs, but luna does not support this in the vst3, so how did you get the sepparate drum tracks?

      Hi, great to hear from you. Thanks so much for watching and leaving a comment!
      I export the drums as audio files from Superior Dummer 3- and then bring the audio back into the session.
      Here’s a link to the previous video in the series - where I show you how to do it👍
      Thanks again so much and have a great week!

    QUESTION--Is Luna only subjected to 7 inserts per channel?
    ]

    • @DistantSunStudios
      @DistantSunStudios 5 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Hi, thanks so much for watching and taking the time to ask a question.
      Each track has eight insert slots. However, if for instance, needed additional insert, you could initially print the audio from one track onto a new track.
      This would then create eight new insert Smart you could then freeze the track that you have just printed from which Wood allow you to go back and make adjustments later if you needed to.
      I would also then mute this track and de-select it - so that it would no longer be shown in my session.
      I hope that helps, and things again!
      Matt

    I love this DAW, but it bothers me that they still haven't resolved the multi-channel mixing issue of virtual instruments, such as EZDrummer, that is, I can't mix the separate instruments, the solution is to print each midi instrument in audio, which is a huge waste of time. Another issue is when exporting the Track, the automations are completely out of place. I hope they fix these errors soon. (Macbock M3 Sonoma 14.1.3).

      Hi - thanks so much for watching I’m getting in touch, I really appreciate it!
      I can see that you have watched my latest video as well, so fingers crossed the virtual instruments multi outs will be here soon. I don’t think you can export the midi as audio files directly in EZDrummer, but if you have it, I know that you can export the audio directly from the plug-in in superior drummer. I’ll leave a link below to the video that I made on it in case that helps.
      Thanks again so much for watching, have a great weekend! Matt
