When I decorate my home I take pictures and then put them in albums in my photos on my iPad. Then I can look back and see what I have to use every season. So easy.
I was gonna say I have seasonal decor albums that makes it easy to remember where everything goes. And I don't have to wrack my brain to remember what I have on hand when I go shopping. But fall unboxing vids are AMAZING! Lol
I started doing this last fall! I wanted to remember where I displayed everything. I also started doing my own personal home tour video during quarantine. I shared it with my mom so she could see how I decorated for Summer. 🍋
You know, I don't think any of us would be heartbroken if you wanted to organize your Halloween and Thanksgiving stuff too. ;)
I just did this yesterday. I have 8 Fall decor bins. One of my 4 year old twins was watching me and she tells me mommy you have too many pumpkins lol. I was so happy looking at all my decor. Last year I took pictures of everything and made a binder with all my decor for every holiday otherwise I forget what I have lol. Anyway, thank you so much for sharing today. This was so much fun.
Taking pictures and putting them in a binder is a great idea.
@@susang2454 I'm obsessed with holiday decor so its been nice looking through it. I have a phone app and it's called free prints, so I just pay for the shipping. Its been fun putting it together. Especially if you have alot of decor. And thank you so much!
I love your idea Sandy Lash about the binders. I usually buy plastic bins from Walmart color matched to the Season.
@@GinaP-T I love that idea! I might have to do that a little at a time. Those bins can get pricey and all my bins are new and matching. I labeled them but it would be so much easier your way. 😊
I don't do either because I don't store fall decor! I like to decorate with real pumpkins and then at the season I can toss them. I don't have to store them and I don't have to feel bad about them sitting in a landfill because they'll decompose. It's a win win for me!
I honestly don't understand decorating for every season. I decorate for Christmas and a very tiny amount for Easter. That's it. I try to be very conscious like you about my consumption of "things" as well as excess useless items that fill a landfill.
@@dayna6938 I agree! Storing things for 11 months out of the year seems wasteful in terms of space and money, but I do love Christmas as well and do store a few things, but I opt for a real tree, garlands, and wreaths!
Dayna yes I agree. It's crazy how we are consumers and we buy stuff just cuz or to look nice. I'd rather spend time and money on more balance of time with family and enjoying life.

Fall decor is sooo hard for me to pass up on but I bought so much new last year so I know I need to for sure only use what I have 🤣 Good to see others thinking the same!

My daughter has a game with her friends to guess how many pumpkins are at our house. It’s hilarious. Pumpkins on anything counts. Lol I’m looking forward to your fall decorating. It’s good to look through the binds because I forget what I have purchased in the past. Good organizing. I would put the 2 plaid pillows on your big couch and drape the matching blanket on the loveseat.
Hey Crystal, I’m with you! I probably have like 15 bins of stuff not including florals. It’s my fav season! This will be the first season that I’ve stored things by room which means I don’t have to haul all the bins up at one time. I can decorate a room at a time. I may move things around but then I’ll just store them back into whichever bin is for that room. I use more bins but it’s much easier on my back after two back surgeries! I’m still decluttering Valentines Day and Easter but just a couple of bins I have to go through! Ah, what we go through to decorate! That’s why it’s called a “hobby” Love it!!!!🌻🍁🍂

I did this last week! I won't be able to add anything to my decor this year so I had to look at what I already had to make myself feel better when I see new stuff in the stores! It really is amazing how much we forget what we have (and how much we love some of it!); it was definitely an exercise in gratitude.

I have a 9 foot couch... So I buy 6 coordinating( mix & match ) pillows for the couch and 4 works great on the love seat and 2 for the hallway bench. You are NOT alone with your obsessions !!! :) I am obsessed with pillows and I feel you can never have enough.

I was half expecting you to turn around after you opened the 3rd bin with all the pumpkins with this face on...lol! 😳 I love that you sell things you don't use. I usually donate mine but that's a great way to feel better about buying more decor! "This is me on a mug!" For sure!!😄
Oh my goodness! I am so glad you mentioned that the sound I was hearing was just Bailey snoring! I can not tell you how many times I’ve paused the video to seek the source of the gravelly background hum. I have audio of my pups snoring because it’s such a sweet song to me 🐶💜😴

I love how you get so excited about taking out fall decor it makes me excited as well although I’m gonna be behind this year because my daughter is getting married at the end of September so I have to wait maybe to start decorating but I feel your happiness and joy with all the fall decorations!! I also feel like I should be clutter like you are and make a special box for that although I have such a hard time parting with things but I think it’s a great idea and you’ve motivated me to do that😊🍁🍂☀️

I love the traditional Fall colors, this year I'm obsessed with the golden yellows! And plaid, of course! My grandson has a peanut allergy, so have teal pumpkins for him! ❤ I love this time of year and the anticipation of cooler weather and Fall decor!!! My absolute favorite time of year! I just love you and your videos!

I'm excited to fall decorate too.......I have really weeded out tho' big time the last couple years on all the seasonal decor, and not planning to buy much else at all. Two Fall bins for a 2,700 sq. foot home....and I don't do a Halloween decor bin.....I like Halloween but I just use the fall decor. It's fun to see what everyone does. I have that same plaid pumpkin Crystal, or at least a very similar one. Love it.

I look through all my stuff yesterday before going to Hobby Lobby. Last year I got rid of a bunch of my pumpkins after sorting them out on the dining room table - I had so many it covered the whole table! I really like the twig pumpkins for indoor and outdoor decorating. Yesterday I bought the sweater pumpkin with twig stem which will be the only pumpkin I buy this year hopefully. Getting antsy to start decorating but will hold off till the first of September.

I loved going through your fall decor with you and can’t wait to see you decorating with it. I had to laugh when you said you couldn’t drape throws...I’ve spent up to 40 minutes playing with a throw to make it look like it was carelessly tossed on a chair. It did look like a lot a pumpkins but it never appears like too many in your decorating. It’s fun to have choices.

Fresh paint, new flooring, and some new furniture. It all depends on the budget so I am not buying anything till I know what I am doing. I did find a Fall wreath for my front door that I can use up to Christmas. This wreath is from JoAnnes so I am getting it this month so they don’t sell out. I will have to check Kirklands.
