Thank for this information and education on this topic. Bear cam viewers really appreciate you sharing your knowledge and experience with our beloved Katmai/Brooks Falls brown bears❣️ Thanks for the livestream cams and all the outreach. It’s much appreciated❣️🐻❤️🐟
Always love these informational videos that are a bit shorter. Thank you for spreading this info in a more palatable way for some people. You guys rock!!!
I really enjoy watching the bears especially in their wilderness homes and seeing them living out there especially on video here and I really enjoy seeing this thank you.💗🐻🐻🐻🐻💗
Just a few years ago 747 was the one did the sneaky attacks on other bears. 151 has done them as well. 856 was the only dominant boar did not do sneaky attacks. 856 dominated by his disposition and his presence.
Luv ,the katmai brooks falls streams! 32 chunk has pretty much had the far pool. He & 747 , who bit 32 chunk for his agression tatic last week ...503 who was trained to defend himself by jousting with bear 68( who was my favorite bear) is a light hearted bear who can pick his time to defend or walk away.. Ofc 128 just amazes, and 164 bucky wants to move up the ladder !!
Still remember seeing that sneak attack live - I gasped and it made me jump can't imagine how startling it was for 747! Chunk has certainly proven time and again he is top dog...err bear this year without question.
Absolutely fascinating. Thank you! Guess I should get to know more about 503... we'll be seeing more of him in the next few years perhaps. And one day may displace 32 Chunk... every dog has his day it seems. : )
I just watching this year and 503 is a very cool bear. He quickly became one of my favorites earlier in the season. Waiting for him to return from his walkabout., hopefully soon!
I’m not sure I agree on the island tussle between 32 and 747. Normally when bears walk away from a conflict they’re conceding so I don’t get why this is different?
During dominance encounters and fights, the more dominant bear ends the interaction and walks away except when bears compete over a singular resource such as a fishing spot or an animal carcass where staying in place in the objective. For example the altercation between 856 & 503 for the J this year. If there is not a fishing spot involved, the bear that walks away is usually saying "I don't find you threatening"
I could listen to Mike Fitz talk about bears all day, every day ❤
I could listen to Naomi and Mike talk for hours!

Excellent presentation!
Was 503 the little cub that was treed and separated from his mom for hours? And also adopted by 435 Holly? If so, 503 is amazing
Yep! 503 has such an amazing story.
Yes, the Prince of Katmai!
@@CorsoLady omg i love that title!
Otis really only cared about fish, and telling others to stay off his lawn.
Hi. I haven’t watched the bear cams this year and am wondering if Otis is still around?
@@grammeb719 he has not been seen in 2024
@@CorsoLady Thanks for the info
Wish we had bears like this in Australia, all we have is Koala Bears and Drop Bears. Cheers
Wonderful Video!
Well done, thank you!!!

I've heard via these chats that the bear that walks away is the winner. Super confusing!
I agree. Also. Poor 856 😢

@@ExploreLiveNatureCams Thanks!
@@glittergrl71 it's kinda sad to see them get bumped down the ladder as they age :(
Still no Otis 😢
Oh dear. that last scene eating the fish. Imagine being skinned alive
