Just what I needed today. My husband is facing the loss of his job. He is standing in the truth, as I am. We're praying and have our hope in Jesus, for we know His plans are greater than our own.
Ray this was such a blessing to me! If anyone was a poster child for not telling people "come to Jesus and your life will be awesome" it's me. We've endured the most unreal challenges over the past few years. I have friends who say that if I wrote a book people would think it was fiction because what we've been through has been so exceptional! So many things... But I know God is good and it's his love, mercy and grace that has brought us this far. I am HIS and nothing and nobody can take me out of his hands.
My mom used to say, “Sometimes God calms the storm. And sometimes he calms His child”. A very encouraging message. Thx Ray. 😊
"When you forget to pray to him, he will pray for you"
I felt the guilt after i heard this line and the words of God or the Bible never fails to humble us... Thank you Lord Jesus Christ for your grace and love towards us.

This was pure excellence in expository preaching. Textbook lesson for other preachers.
Jesus did not necessarily tell the disciples to leave right away..they made the decision to leave independently of him..they should have went to the mountain to pray 1st, too..they
jumped the gun..or.. were off sides..they got themselves into trouble by not praying 1st..& by not following
Christ completely..the
12 baskets of bread may have gotten soggy & fed to the fish instead..Judas must have thought that all of this was crazy..he was probably for waiting until the weather was clear before launching out on the lake..he was the only one who had common sense..just guessing...Peter & Andrew & James & John could not read the sky or the weather.
“Where’s the guy who got us into the mess?”
That line hit pretty hard, as I’m sure a lot of us struggle to follow Jesus as best we can but we inevitably end up in a world of hurt. And then we end up blaming God or our faith wavering.

Amen! The disciples struggled all night in the storm, rather than praying. How often do we struggle in our fleshly, human efforts, becoming afraid, rather than take our struggles to God? Excellent reminder and admonition!

I was literally praying for guidance and strenght for me snd my wife on my knees next to our bed, and an half hour or hour later I come across this. Im a family man in my thirties and I was in tears at the end. I pray for not hardening my heart. I hear how my wife is talking very confidently and strongly in the other room. Only Christ Jesus.
God is always in control. I had a feeling to read this story in John today and didn't know if this that were the verses God wanted me to read today. Well now I am here listening about this in Mark 6 again.

Beautiful. Thanks, Ray. I’m struggling with fear. When I confess it, I hear a lot of reminders from “Christians”, that God doesn’t give us a Spirit of fear.
Fear is a hard one to avoid. As irrational as it is - we still feel it. It can come from our imagination and also the enemy can make trouble but any evil around you can be commanded to leave in the name of Jesus.
I see people commenting that reply often to people who are struggling with fear and I find it, although true, it’s sometimes unhelpful to that person who is feeling afraid. I prefer the action of every time a wave of fear is about to hit me I call out to Jesus and ask for His peace beyond all understanding and to take my fear, throw it into the deepest darkest ocean and turn it into joy within me. If I am happy I don’t fear and His joy is the best! Another thing I find helps is to ask the Lord to help me to put my fear into perspective …what am I afraid of?… can it really hurt me?…. What is the worst that can happen? and then find some scriptures that answer. I google scriptures about fear sometimes because it will bring up a whole list and by the time I have finished reading them I feel stronger. Whatever happens though, like the pastor on the video says we give our fears to Jesus we look to Him to help us through that storm and calling out to Him in absolute trust is the best thing we can ever do because He is magnificent and He is all we need. I hope sharing how I deal with fear helps in some way. Keep talking to God 😊✝️🙌💕 God bless ✝️💕

Actually, the blood of Christ is only intended to pay for our sin and cleanse our hearts of sin. Nothing else! People who try to use the blood for any other purpose are practicing mysticism, and it doesn't even work!

I think my heart has been hardened in a way too. I was born again not too long ago. Talk about the truth setting you free. Thank you living waters and more importantly thank you Dear Lord Jesus Christ Almighty.

The evangelical movement in America is teaching come to Jesus and " live your best life now" Jesus doesnt fix all of our earthly storms but he will give you peace through them. Hes refining us and sanctifying us through them. He wants us to depend on him alone. Not ourselves or other people. Sometimes it can feel like theres no way, but he always gives us a way. It doesnt always look like we think it should. God Bless you all.

I constantly questioned my salvation when I attended a Calvinist church, although I did not know that's what it was at the time. God freed me and laid it on my heart to read His Word for myself. Will pray for you
It's a lie from the devil to keep you paralyzed in fear. I felt the same way for a long time. Then I read a passage that you're saved by grace and to have faith in the God who saved you. If you lack the faith and unbelief that our Savior has not forgiven you. Then you won't be saved because of unbelief and faith in Jesus. The devil lies and uses that lie on many people. Don't believe the lie!
I feel this way from time to time… I feel a lot of doubt… it’s the devil, I still sin and he still wants me
