The later trucks (see TM 9-2320-387-24P) switch to constant tension clamps. When (not if 😂) these leak again, suggest you go that route and dont over-compress during install.
Unfortunately with HMMWVs there is always something that needs fixing (or so it seems.) I am checking it and many other points in the rigs before each trip.
I don’t know your history but how do you know how to work on these? Just basic general knowledge? I’ve been looking into the M997A2’s to potentially convert one for overlanding. I’ve built out a couple trucks but never a camper style as I just didn’t like the offerings out there. But the capability plus a lower stance of the ambulances is appealing to me. I’m up north in CDA from you. Great work
General maintenance knowledge and a ton of google. The TMs are the go to source for diagrams and what not. Think of them as 1980s trucks with a few specialty parts. The M997A2s are great but they have no guts. I plan on trailering mine most of the way and then driving them in. But then again I am 4 hours from my favorite camping area with my truck… probably 12 with the ambulance lol
Great video, thanks for showing how the deletes done
Glad to help!
