    Wanted to add the Official FAQ in here for all the people that are learning the game:
    **Cards & Effects**
    Q: Must I resolve all the effects on a card?
    A: No, effects on cards can be skipped unless they are preluded by either an additional cost, such as paying one life when playing Dark Dealings for hunters, or by the THEN clause.
    Q: Can I purposely miss an attack to trigger other effects?
    A: Yes! However, keep in mind that you always reveal when attacking as the Beast.
    Q: Can I use a smokebomb to prevent damage from a summon?
    A: No, a smokebomb can only be used when the Beast is about to deal damage
    Q: Does Nearby include me?
    A: Yes!
    Q: If a card triggers one or more of my unlocked beast/hunter upgrades, what order do I resolve them?
    A: Card Effects resolve first, then you may choose the order in which you use unlocked triggered upgrades.
    **Upgrades**
    Q: Can I get the same yellow upgrade more than once per game?
    A: No, yellow upgrades are once per game.
    Q: With a fully upgraded Hydra on Raaga, can I attack the same target?
    A: No, with both 'Wrath of Eirtir' and 'Fury of Mendr', you have to attack 3 different targets.
    **Movement & Trails**
    Q: Will the Beast reveal a trail when moving through a Hunter?
    A: Yes, the Hunters are passively finding new trails
    Q: Does the Beast's standee count as a trail?
    A: Yes!
    Q: If the Beast moves over the same location twice without being revealed, will there be two trail tokens?
    A: Yes!
    Q: Is there a limit to how many active moment cards there can be?
    A: There is no limit on how many active moment cards you can play!
    Q: Do settlements reveal trails?
    A: Settlements themselves do not reveal trails. It's the settlers (farmers and nobles) who reveal trails.
    Q: If I must move two steps in the same direction, but by doing so I move past the edge of the map on the second step, can I still use that card in that direction?
    A: Yes, but in this case you would only move 1 step, no more movement cards would be placed
    **Traps**
    Q: Can I place traps in any zone and is there a limit to it?
    A: Hunters can place traps in any zone (to a limit of 3 per zone). Unless you play Krim's trapmaster, then it's only in your own zone.
    Q: Do traps trigger when I'm already revealed?
    A: No, they only trigger when you become revealed
    Q: I've played a trap, and now the Beast reveals itself on a habitat matching the trap. Do I have to activate trap?
    A: No. You may choose to not activate the trap
    **Attacks**
    Q: Can I use an Ancient Power after I have declared an attack on a target?
    A: No, Ancient Powers must be used before you declare an attack
    Q: Do I have to use my Ancient Power when attacking?
    A: No. You choose if you want to use it or when you play a card with an attack effect, but before the attack happens.
    Q: Can I use more than one Ancient Power per attack?
    A: Yes!
    **Miscellaneous**
    Q: Does the Beast's starting location count as all zones?
    A: Yes, all zones and all habitats. This also means when the Beast reveals in this location, traps from all zones will trigger
    Q: What happens when the Beastly Talents/item deck's is out of cards?
    A: When the Beastly Talent/Item deck is empty, it doesn't get reshuffled.

    Great job as usual. FYI there's a background hissing in the video. Like constant static. I know this isn't normal, never heard that on your channel before.

    Thanks for the video haven't heard of that game before but pre-ordered it 15 minutes in 😅. Also you sold me on Space Station Phoenix, it was fantastic. Do you have plan on doing a Edge of Darkness how to play ? 🤞 I understand if not. **edit nevermind for the playthrough it's super easy I was just super lazy 🤣

      No plans for Edge of Darkness though. 😄

    The rulebook states you can only get the reward on your contract from the current night. So you wouldn't be able to get the second night reward on the first night.

    • @pauldesilets6005
      @pauldesilets6005 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Yes, but you can have fulfilled the requirements for the second night already, by counting what you did on the first night

    Thank you so much! You explanation is easy to understand! Just one simple question, I'm newbie for this game, just to make sure we play reaction/trap card only at day phase right? And counted as playing the red symbol/blue symbol. Am I right? And also all of the action (movement, attack, etc) can only be done with the cards right? One last question, if beast attack hunter, or hunter attack beast, it'll deals damage to each other right?

    • @nithrania-gameinanutshell
      @nithrania-gameinanutshell  ปีที่แล้ว

      "Yes" to all questions except the very last one. :)
      When you attack, only the attacker deals the damage!

    I noticed that you were using the misprinted mini-map🙂( missing the forest habitat at the bottom left corner) . Good video!

    7:26 "2 cards to the hunters, 1 card to the beast, continue until each player has 6 cards"? Im confused 😅

  • @rafelsv4844
    @rafelsv4844 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Hey! I think you forgot something pretty essential to the game: "If the Beast moves over any location with a settler or hunter on it, the Beast places a trail token on the location with the settler or hunter after all movement has been made." Meaning that in the video when you showed an example of movement, t'he beast should have placed a trail token in the location with the settler and Hunter when passing through there

    • @rafelsv4844
      @rafelsv4844 ปีที่แล้ว

      (Also, as a sidenote, I think there is a designated area on the board for placing the movement cards for the Beast (rightmost area) That way, if hunters reveal a movement card, they do not have to look at the entre other side of the table jejeje

    • @rafelsv4844
      @rafelsv4844 ปีที่แล้ว

      There' also something that's very good to know, and that's that the Beast's standee also counts as a trail token (useful for cards such as prowl)

    • @nithrania-gameinanutshell
      @nithrania-gameinanutshell  ปีที่แล้ว +5

      Well, I was going to say that I don't see this anywhere in the rulebook, but then I finally found that weird light-blue rectangle with this important rule, which is NOT stated anywhere else in the rulebook. Other "blue rectangles" just support the rules in the text with some examples or pitures, but this one is an exception because it contains this extremely important rule.
      So, apologies, I am going to state this in the description of the video as an update.
      And thank you for the note!

    So is it 3 days (rounds) and during it you have few turns (in each of them you are playing 2 cards?)?

    • @nithrania-gameinanutshell
      @nithrania-gameinanutshell  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Correct! Looks like not so much, but in fact you may have 4-5 turns each round. :)

    In 2 player game beast have 6 cards and 2 hunters only 3 each, in 3 player game beast have 4 cards and 2 hunters 4 each, i hope i will get my copy of game this week but this look imbalance, in 3 player game other players can see your cards but cant use it, same as in 2 player game. maybe i miss something in video.

    • @etheldir128
      @etheldir128 ปีที่แล้ว

      I'm sure you know by now but for others: in 2 player games they have 4 cards each, same as in 3 player

    Thank you very much for the video! But after playing it looks like the Beast wins most of the time. Is the game unbalanced?

    • @nithrania-gameinanutshell
      @nithrania-gameinanutshell  ปีที่แล้ว

      I don't know, I haven't played it enough times, but I've heard it from other people as well. And I have to say I had a very easy victory with the Beast.

    28 minutes "in a Nutshell"? Seriously? -_-

    • @nithrania-gameinanutshell

      Well, that name has been created years ago, but the series of videos are now a full-teach videos, and it's really a big deal to make the brand-change. But it's still a nutshell compared to reading the rules. :)
