Thank you for giving an objectively technical and precisely consistent assessment of 1.5 dci's progression of high and most importantly low rev accelerations with actual driver overview. I absolutely loved your Dusters intended use of gear braking for advancing fuel economy and drastically improving the flow of traffic. Duster 1.5 dci with its short ratio gearbox acquires frequent gearchanges in which the driver has to measure out the longitudinal movement both in acceleration and deceleration. Engine braking allows to balance the car by lifting off the throttle, whilst maintaining engines inertia so that zero fuel consumption could be achieved under braking thus unlocking the potential of the chassis when weight could be transferred to the fullest extent in the proximate operating window of mechanical grip. It is crucial to allow the driver an immediate controllability, creating a safer environment for fellow citizens. Also the car was driven on a hot day with frequent accelerations, giving an honest fuel reading. But most of all I enjoyed that nobody talked with their learned faces about some marketing guff without the actual knowledge to drive efficiently with a manual. I could actually hear the tolerances of the engine. Thank you- I cant't wait to drive my duster in October.
