That's definitely a southern thing. My grandpa said "A woman has no business touching gas pumps with a man." I thought that was CRAZY as a kid... but it's definitely GAME! Heck he was married 60 years, so he must know something.

It's a southern old school thing. It really hit home for me when I was at the gas station and this older lady asked me how to pay for gas at the pump and the whole process. Her husband had just passed away, and he always handled that kinda stuff... It really caught me off guard but it enlightened me on how much times have changed from then to now.

I’ve been with my husband 18 years and YES it’s a southern thing. My hands don’t touch a gas pump and I don’t keep up with gas prices shortages outages or leaks. LOL. A husband is a provider and that includes providing my gas. A husband is a protector and that includes protecting me from running out of gas and being stranded. Every woman has their thing and standards and good for her in articulating hers. I like the honesty. I, on the other hand was not and did not marry a man that doesn’t pull some weight. Exactly, I don’t believe zodiac signs have anything to do with it but each marriage have their own rules. They have money so they might have a housekeeper. My husband is a Leo, he will cook and clean the kitchen, take care of the car and the handy work inside and outside of the house but the major cleaning in the house is my job. He will also do laundry.
