[Love in Flames of War 良辰好景知几何] In the early part of the 20th Century, the Republic of China is struggling to establish itself, with the Imperial Japanese posing a growing threat to Chinese sovereignty. Against this backdrop, Xiao Bei Chen (Shawn Dou), a hotheaded teenager is growing up fast. He likes to bully a girl who has taken refuge with his family named Lin Hang Jing (Chen Du Ling), but she shows resilience and determination even when he intimidates her - a fact that ultimately leads him to fall for her.
The attraction grows, but Xiao Bei Chen discovers that his father wants to send him away to a military academy for several years. I don't understand how these female movie characters can fall in love with men who treat them so badly, who force them to stay with them through shady means. In real life, no woman with shame on her face and with a minimum of self-esteem would fall in love with a guy like that who always has the strength to keep her by his side. How horrible, this is violence, not love.

In medival time it happened with each and every woman At d end they have to suffer and adjust accordingly to patriarchal rules and male dominance where they hadn't any right even if they had rights but still limited....if talk about 40years back , not far from now we can see many examples......I think in2023 there r many countries this still happens and women suffer and adjust to be with them.....
Let's give u recent example, few days ago I read in newspaper that a girl 22 years was followed by a man for months when she ignored him he tried to harrass her, msg her call her and she will reply back too but later on took few pictures of his with her and like forcing himself on her for kissing and hugging ( not sure about rape) , I think just for pictures he did that and viral her pictures on social media and it went like Fire in her and his community and when she told her family what actually happened they firstly believed her but community said that no one will marry her and don't what really happened between them or don't know when and how started? And blah blah....
He knew that woman's dignity & virtue is most important thing in their community so he did knowingly so she will agree to marry him.
Bcz of maintaining her dignity they forced her family to agree upon marrying that girl to that same man who like her and forced her to marry him....she denied it but they forced her to marry him and she married to the same man .......I was so disturbed reading this in now days....hope she will be okay .

I liked his charachter as a warning red flag. The ML started behaving immature and entitled. He caused her so much trouble. He couldn't understand integrity. He also demanded respect. He was a menace. He didn’t clear up his problems. He had bad communication with her. She was absolutely right to leave.
True. Staying with that type of man would have been a bad decision. The end in my opinion was a happy one. No woman should put up with any type of abuse and he was abusive.
Looking at it's thumbnailed I thought he would be some serious gentleman types but he turned out to be a charmer instead 😂
Loved this story, a lot of heartbreaks but in the end, she was returning back to him after so many years of separation with their son he did not know of. I watched all the episodes which explained many things which can't be fitted in one movie as we were dealing with many lives and incidents during those times of China's political turmoil. this is a compilated video, the whole drama is long. Try watching wuxia, its like historical but its rather phantasy, romantic ones are really nice with fairies and gorgeous gods. Historical ones are boring and a lot of blood, dont watch.

It might be underrated because not all war related dramas are popular, but this story has bite in it. The seemingly glamorous and happy go lucky Beichen ( Shawn Dou) is a patriot with deep commitment. "LOVE IN FLAMES OF WAR" is a drama about love for country and love one woman. You will understand and enjoy this drama. Acting is superb.
