Also playing a part in the heat of the leatt brace protector is the klim gear combo. Love my klim jersey but it also traps alot of heat. peace great vid!
Looking for your advice. Great videos by the way... I ride hard enduro all desert and some mountain. All very rough terrain and we really push ourselves. Would you recommend the 3DF Airfit or the Body Protector 4.5? I really would like to wear under my jersey and with my Klim hydration pack. I currently dont use a collar but will in the future. The heat is a factor where I live but can deal with it if it's providing protection. Thanks for you time.
The Airfit is better for feel, but frankly I worry about its level of protection. The 4.5 is a little hotter, but at least it can do what it is intended to.
What do you think? Too hot for Florida? If so, what would you recommend? Rib protection is the reason I am looking to upgrade from my cheap Fox roost deflector.
@@AtomicMoto Thank you. I had been looking at that one as well. Of course I need the size that's out of stock, so I'll keep checking back so I can order one. Thanks again!
Really? I wear the biggest HAWG Camelbak with my Fox Titan jacket which has large shoulder cups. Never even thought twice about it. Further details appreciated as this is a showstopper for me.
+John G The Titan Jacket has a different shoulder cup design. They sit on the shoulder like a pressure suit, whereas these float like a chest protector.
+Brian Price Much appreciated. Can you point towards any products which would include shoulder pads and allow wearing a pack, but cover more areas? I like the Titan but side ribs are not protected. Thank you.
I posted a question on the Amazon product page. Four people responded that they wear packs with no problem. Amazon seller to me: “Here is the answer from Leatt: Yes, Backpack compatible. This is our tops selling chest protector world wide, and a staple choice of off-road riders....95% of them wear a backpack while wearing the 5.5 ProHD.” Did a little more research and the plain "5.5" is according to Leatt "the maximum body protection we can offer riders today.” In other words, the 5.5 Pro HD is actually down a notch in protection. Kind of confusing product naming. I ordered a plain "5.5" which is more of a pressure suit.

Dehydration sucks.
Do you have any experience with the full body protector?

Hello Michael. Lead BOMBER is a big guy, so they are fairly large. What is your height and weight?
Great review. Thanks
+Michael Provenzano, yes with the shoulder pieces removed (as in the video).

What protector is that you’re wearing under your jersey?
Good eye!! Something I made.
So I'm 300lbs do you think it will fit me
No, I do not, sorry.
Will the atlas neck brace work with it
My apologies, we do not sell those items, so I cannot confirm if they work together.
is it compatible with the ApineStars Pro Bionic Neck Support????
Rolf Eriksson , yes, if you wear the protector OVER the brace. You put the brace on first, then work the protector over it.
I find this chest protector very bulky and not very durable.
