About Shaykh Kalbani:
Adil ibn saalim ibn saeed al kalbani was born in Riyadh in 1378 AH on the 25th of Ramadan on a Friday. He is married and has 5 sons and two daughters.
His teachers
His first teacher was shaykh hasan ibn gaanim algaanim, and this was while he (the shaykh) was the one responsible for the department of knowledge propogation, fataawa, proselytising and guidance. He studied from him the three principles, the removal of doubt, and some of sahih Bukhari, sahih at Tirmidhi and tafsir ibn kathir.
He also studied with shaykh Dr Mustafa Muslim. The teacher at Imam university, in the college of principles of the religion, in the tafsir baydawee. *haashee zaadah*. He studied with him the faraidh (compulsory things). And then departed to sharakah.
He studied with shaykh abul rahman ibn jibrin. *akhir tadmariyah*, he studied the two middle things small and big with the shaykh, as well as the book of monotheism form sahih Bukhari as well as a large portion of the book of belief from sahih muslim.
He studied quran with shaykh ahmad Mustafa, and he got an ijazah of hafs form aasim from shaatabis line. Shaykh Muhammed ibn nahban Egyptian also gave him an ijazah to recite aasim from the shaatabi line. Shaykh Muhammed abu rawash also gave him an ijazah of hafs from the line of fil. And this is a good chain with the lack of munfasil
Also he got an ijazah from shaykh Muhammed abdul hameed to recite kaaloon from nafi from the line of shaatabi.and he studied al baqarah from shaykha umm saad with the recitation of abi umar al basree by the transmission of dawree and sawsee.
And shaykh ismail ansaari also gave him an ijaazaah in a very famous hadith with a strong/high chain of narration, and it is the hadith that the ones who are merciful, the merciful (allah) will be merciful on them, and have mercy to the people of the earth, and the one who is in the heavens will have mercy on you. And this was the first hadith he heard from him. May allahs mercy be upon him. (One of Mufti Taqi Usmani's favourite Hadeeth)
And the duaa is for safety and peace, and to strive to become of the people of Quran. * he has have conveyed what he has learnt* and he wished to *mention a hadith that discusses the names and reward of the one who reads quran.
And we hope Allah will place this on the scale of our deeds, and enter us into the hadith the best of you is the one who learns quran and then teaches it and in some narrations, the highest of rank among you is the one who learns quran and teaches it.
i was in the 3rd row.after the prayer he was asked by one musalli what is his feeling as the imam of kaba.he replied he cant explain.may ALLAH bless our imams with long blessfull life.
أَللّٰهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلٰى مُحَمَّدٍ وَعَلٰى آلِ مُحَمَّدٍ
ماشاءالله تبارک الرحمٰن ، جَزَاکَ اللہُ خَیراً وَ اَحسَنَ الجَزا
Ich höre es seit zehn Jahren es überwältigt mich jedesmal wieder neu. Es rührt mich immer wieder zu Tränen Subhana Allah die schönste Rezitation überhaupt. Meine Kinder hören das fast jeden Abend zum einschlafen, es braucht keine fünf Minuten und sie schlafen friedlich ein. Allahuma rffflii ajmain Muslimin

MashAllah it's amazing recitation.
I was there :) MashaAllah, the mosque was packed and a very blessed atmosphere. I was a bit sceptical of so many people showing up for Isha prayer just because it's a famous shaykh, but alhamdulillah, all we wanted is a bit of that Masjid-Alharam atmosphere and the blessing of the kaaba sticking to him we so desperately long for.
Sheikh has turn old now 11years after your comment . May Allah guide me and everyone else.

With knowledge comes not aggression and harshness, but mercy and kindness. One of the many diseases affecting the Ummah. May Allah cure this disease and allow the Ummah to re-establish the khalifah, Ameen.

"When a person calls his brother (in Islam) a disbeliever, one of them will certainly deserve the title, If the addressee is so as he has asserted, the disbelief of the man is confirmed, but if it is untrue, then it will revert to him."

And Allah knows best. When Moses (R.A) was sent to the Pharaoh, Allah commanded him to speak softly. And Muhammad was commanded to speak softly.

where does it say you have to do 2 raka pray for morning 4 for zohr 4 for asr, 3 for maghrib and 4 raka for isha?

@theecholondon In the sunnah of the Prophet (SAW). And the Qur'an commands us to obey Allah (SWT) and His Messenger (SAW) as were all communities commanded before us. As is stated in the verse in Surat Aali-'Imran (Chapter 3):
"Say: If you claim to love Allah then obey me. Allah will love you and forgive you your sins. And Allah is Most Forgiving, Most Merciful." (3:31)
this year they hav a few, sheikh shurain and suddais obviously, plus Maher al muakaly and a few others
@adrianwainer i am not sure why you are asking me the question?however ALLAH himself mentioned in the Quran ARRAHMANU A'LAL ARSHIS TAWA.(means " Rahman took the sit called arsh)after the creation of heaven and earth.i cant remeber the verse or the sura at the moment.but if you want i can give you the ref later.wassslam.

It's very simple bro. If a country says NO to mosques, then we will not build mosques but if they say YES, then we will and try to spread the God's religion that is for all mankind. I had a roomate who spoke ill of Islam like you until I encouraged him not to deliver a verdict b4 turning off the tv and learning this beautfiful way of life. Now, he's Muslim and he hated Muslims more than you. I won't insult your religion, I just pray that God opens your heart and mind. PEACE!

The sheikh was Imam of Masjid in Riyadh in the area of Rawdah last time I was there in 2012.

Then he is most likely Hanbali as this is the method of prayer in their school. May Allah preserve it.

Quran tells us that some of the companions of the prophet (p) were hypocrits. not all his followers were up right and followed his command.
@theecholondon But would Allah (SWT) allow their names to be remembered? And indeed, would the Prophet (SAW) allow people to follow them, or would he warn the people against them? It is Allah (SWT) who determines internal hypocrisy, and not you, nor I, nor the 'Ulama. And most certainly hypocrisy is not displayed in one or two instances but many. And you can't honestly believe that a majority of the Companions were apostates and that even the Prophet's (SAW) closest friend from before Islam?
True, but alhumdulilah there are still many orthodox Malikis and Hanbalis in Saudi, even some Hanafis in the eastern areas. This Imam doesn't pray the same was as most Salafis so he could be orthodox Hanbali, Allah hu'Alim.
