Hey man thank you for stopping by again! I'm blessed to have rivers as good as I do within driving distance. I hope you and your family have happy holidays too!
Hey man thanks for watching! I've had luck with chicken down there too but never tried the strawberry Jell-o trick. I pretty much just use shad because I catch so much of it on the Potomac I freeze it and it's free bait. I managed to tear them up last week on shad, to the point where I ran out of what I brought. I think with the right conditions either bait works. If I ever run out of shad though I'll be using chicken for sure.
Hey man thanks for the tip on the camera and cool to see you here checking out my videos! I really should switch to another brand but it seems like the Hero 10 with the new style batteries are working so far. They changed the chemistry and power delivery apparently and it seems to be working. Just wish I didn't have to get an external mic to have decent audio. How's the Osmosis cams with audio?
Been watching for years my man. Leo up the great work. I had a hero 10 then 11 even with the new batteries. They were always a headache. I switched to DJI and no more headaches. DJI also just released an update for the Osmo action 4 that allows the DJI mic 2 to transmit audio directly to the Osmo action 4 without the need for a receiver. It’s a game changer and you’d be really happy with the audio. It’s the best thing going on action cameras at the moment
Yeah looks like they are our there quite a bit anymore, but can't fault people making money off of what is considered an invasive fish still. Luckily they are still pretty abundant in there as long as you hit it at the right conditions. With the rain we've been having it has turned on fire. I'm excited to get my next videos out I smashed them there. I hope you can get in to them down there soon!
Thank you man good to see you here again! It was definitely a good day they were biting when those units were running. I was down there Thursday and the flow was really good and had an insane day. Hopefully I can get the video out soon.
Good to hear you'll be going there this year! The Susky is an amazing river but it seems like the flatties are starting to wise up some. Used to be able to go out and fish with some gills and smash em all night. But now they know better and are a lot more selective on what they bite and when they do it. I haven't been able to fish for them like I used to and have been struggling to get on them when I do get out. I hope you do better than me in May!
That was weird first time I tried to watch It. There was no audio. It's on now, though. Just digging into the video I am on my way up to erie to go bust some steel heads. Can't wait to see the video!
That is weird, hopefully that's not happening with other people. That sounds awesome man I hope you smash them! I bet that's going to be a little chilly up that way. I'd love to see some pics from your trip if you get in to any!
@TheFlattyDaddies just got home, skunk city, lol!!! I'm not gonna complain about a beautiful day at the creek, but it would have been nice to catch some fish! I haven't been up there in years. Forgot how much I hate fishing around a bunch of people Creeks were low and clear, makes for tough fishing, made me really miss the solitude of the river at night lol!!!!
Whoa I didn't know you had to go that far to fish that area. It is worth it though when they are biting. This rain is going to get them fired up but it may have too strong of current for the next few days with all this rain we're supposed to get. I think by Wed or Thurs of this week it should be awesome. I was there last week and it was incredible. I hope you can get down soon!
@TheFlattyDaddies yeah it's definitely worth it. I'm off next week so maybe I can make it down. I'll pretty excited to watch your new video tonight at work haha
Hey man how have you been? I use the Perryville boat ramp, it's always open and in good shape. It is $10 to launch there but I think all of the ramps in that area cost that much. There's usually a bathroom too but it's closed right now. Good luck if you head down there!
@@TheFlattyDaddiesJust a heads up. Not sure it you have an annual permit or day use permit but as of 2024 no more day permits. Only annual. Annuals are $100 for out of state. Or $25 for MD registration.
Where do you get the schedule for the flow?
Great video
Great Cat session amigo nice 👍🏽. Wishing you happy holidays 🤝🏽.

Nice work, the strawberry chicken has been killer for me on the lower Susky this year, for me it produces better than cut bait

If you’re having trouble recording in the cold, strongly suggest ditching GoPro and going with DJI osmosis action 3 or 4. Nice video!

@TheFlattyDaddies Fingers crossed 🤞 the last time I was there they only hit cut bait. I'm bringing the kitchen sink this time lol.
