You are so much more than a hound, you are a flipping artist times 100! Do not stop it! I like it!!!!!!!!!! Talent. I’m just saying. In all of the parts of you that you put into your creations and videos! Just rad!
You are so generous! I'm blushing, you're too kind though I really appreciate the feedback. You have to admit, it's so fun making the pretties and the videos! You are an inspiration and set the bar super high. Always looking forward to your next one, cheers!
No worries! Thanks for having a look. It's hard not to stick an opal in everything right now since I'm cutting so much boulder, lol. Looking forward to your next video. Cheers!
Hiya Karen, that is some beautiful stones, awesome lapidary work I love the way you incorporated the opal. Awesome video. I hope you and yours have a awesome blessed day. Cya! 😸🐟out!
Hey Catfishunter, thanks for having a look. Those are some incredible finds, I'm lucky he wanted to share at all! Thanks about the lapidary, I couldn't resist the opal, I was working them side by side (you can see the boulder opal ironstone puddle at 2:28, lol). It turned out to be fun but I'm haunted by the mystery. Have a great day as well, hope you catch something good!
@@OzoneFineArtVentures my nickname is Catfish, so that's why I made my channel name this way 😄, but I'm going to watch it again and look at it better, I really like what you did, I'm going to try it out some day. And thanks for sharing your videos.
Thank you! I was definitely looking for an 'unbagging' alternative and loved that Jarrod was generous enough to share some of his footage so the context of the material could be conveyed in the video. Exploring the material characteristics through lapidary also seemed like cake and eating it too, dessert all in the name of science, lol. Thanks again for watching!
This so reminded me of the work I did, " Queen of the flex shaft". Until I had 20 yrs of tool collecting stolen! I miss it terribly! Now I get to watch you! 😁 ♥️🇨🇦♥️
Oh no, 20 years of tool collecting stolen?!!! That's awful! Those tools can be like your own limbs after a while. I have my first pair of good jewelry pliers that I got at Tucson Gem Show almost 30 years ago. Still my primary pair, amazing what good quality they are, and they're like my right hand, don't know what I'd do without them. As far as flex shafts, I have one for each hand; a Foredom and a Dremmel, lol. I'm hoping you can get back into it and return your crown to being Queen! Meanwhile, I'm glad we can take the lapidary adventure together. Thanks again for watching!
@@OzoneFineArtVentures At 65 I can't afford to get back into it & my eyesight is poor( waiting on cataract surgery, still). Worst of all is the lack of space. My husband & I share a basement suite with 5 other people.
Thank you! It was crazy working with a material that I really didn't know what was for sure. Enjoying your videos, looking forward to the next. Cheers!
You scared me there for a moment but the carving and the touch of opal could not been a better pairing. It was beautiful, just beautiful. Kudos to the both of you and thank you for sharing your talent and letting us tag along. Be safe and stay healthy 😷⚒
Hah, scared ya! It's always cause for pause when you cut the face of a gem in the making! Since I was cutting the boulder opal at the same time (you can see the ironstone mud under the project when I'm placing the opal on the carving) the greens were so fetching together I couldn't resist. Plus, I really did want to do the hardness testing and that seemed a good excuse. Thanks so much for watching and stay safe and healthy too!
Thanks to you and your hard rock mining! Can't wait to hear the assessment, it'll be cool to crack the mystery and then continue to crack into this marvelous material. The color is so mesmerizing, can't wait to work with it again.
@@OzoneFineArtVentures Ahhh, answers. Who knew they would be so elusive? It will be fun to find out what we are working with here... Soon I can show some pieces I work on, nothing as cool as opal inlay, but I will make something nice.
@@puliendopiedrasdecostarica I am still trying to learn which is the best material and Im not sure I sent my best on this package. I may have to send another..
that turned out beautiful! who would have to put an opal in there? that blue/green color will make great carvings and being a jasper to.. just subscribed
Hey there, Yooper! If you have watched Cliffwalker's videos, you've seen some lovely material. I felt like it warranted the top shelf treatment for sure, plus I'd been working with the opal and had a piece that was such the perfect match.. Thanks for subbing and thanks for watching!
